Hey guys! I just got my Xperia Neo V (Blue). And it still has GingerBread Installed. I want to ask if i can upgrade to the latest 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Is ICS stable (lag-free) now? Or i should stay on GB?! If yes, any tips, advice?

Can u suggest me the best sony product within that range..
And with the jellybean coming up.. Which handset should be the best?
(I made my mind for neo v but the negative updates about ICS confused me)

AnonD-60160, 22 Jun 2012how to upgrade ? @civic81@nokia rockz:Upgrading process is easy and have few different ways.1st: On phone open: settings>about phone>"software update" open yours wi-fi connection and turn it on.tap on "software update.." wait for a while..it will be started.follow instructions.before it,first u must open sony official website http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/38386 check is yours phone SI (sales item number) on list for sony experia neo v.U can find SI number under battery removed.If u find yours SI number on sony website for neo v,u wil easy download.if not wait for a while ...soon wil be apeared SI number...2nd way:download from sony official website software for upgrading,"pc companion" or sony update service" (SUS)name,install it on computer.,attach yours usb cable first to pc,then hold "back" while attaching to phone,green lamp from right side now lightning.yours computer will recognize new hardware and inform you near clock on taskbar,you can see "SEMC driver found",wait few seconds to automatically driver be installed and accept installing driver "SEMC" If yours computer hang,while installing SEMC driver,probably you have conflict error with another driver in computer.I was also hard work to find which driver is on conflict with my SEMC and i recognized,it was driver from satellite card,so i was find solution.however i'm user of pc 9 years...well, "pc companion" software will automatically check yours presently installed software on phone and inform u for a few seconds "new software available" then follow instructions.do not unplug usb cable or doing any another process on computer while u downloading new software...it will be finished for few minutes. About HDMI cable: I don't know why problem here on forum is HDMI cable which is not on box,this is cheap cable example,here on Belgrade in Serbia,u can buy HDMI usb cable for just 12 us dollars,or 10 euros. so? is it big money? i don't think so.For price of phone u have all and much much more.that's really small computer...like i say this phone have nothing bad.finding gps satellite is just for 5 seconds on new 4.0.4.car navigation working very well not crashing....like i say,wifi connection is stable and opening webpages is very fast on neo v ,even my net speed is 4 mb/s. camera now have 3d sweep panorama,voice calling is excellent have secondary mic for removing noise.i read before on gingerbread was problem with auto brightness,now forget this problem in 4.0.4 ICS you can adjust brightness any u want,but best is about 50% is clear thx sony mobile bravia.16 milions colours giving special feel on watching hd videos on 720p. about speakers,sound is excellent expecting for small speaker inside phone.someone say "not have stereo speakers" but,for real stereo effect speakers must be minimum 1,5 meters from each other ..hehehe. put sony ericson headphones,sound is excellent and enjoy clear great sound.adjust yours equlizer...find for you ideal sound on player. i'm big audio fan and know to recognize good sound..even inside my (gray)neo v.everyone who wanna buy his phone: do it, u wil never regret.buy plastic silicone protector for phone and not need protector for screen,this phone have scratch-resistant screen.thats my experience with my se neo v.i'll be happy help anyone here with some advices. regards for all SE neo V users,from Belgrade,Serbia...

AnonD-54666, 22 Jun 2012hello 100rabh,.. shud we root the phone to use supercharger... morei dont really recommend Rooting not before 6months of ur phone warranty coz ur inbox accessories are covered for the first 6months ..and rooting may void ur warranty so its better u dont take that risk ..try it after 6months only ..
