Xperia Neo V + xperia Z1 Rom is the best, just root your neo v, instal cwm 5, kernel official sony ics, format system, cache, dalvic, data, and install xperia z1 honami rom from cwm. Best ui xperia honami, walkman, and all sony original feture on neo V.

I downgraded the phone to 2.3.4,rooted using eRoot(very simple) and after I installed the link2SD and Titanium Backup.With link2SD you move the app from internal storage to SD card,and with Titanium you can create backups,froze/unfrozen app like Google Maps(app that eat RAM and drain the battery).Now I have more memory storage and even 195 free RAM and a good battery life improved!

Just rooting is not enough to increase the memory.

Install Link2SD from playstore and uninstall all unwanted stock apps from your mobile.. This is shud save some memory in your mobile..

The best option is to install CUSTOM ROM's for your mobile.. Refer XDA website for Custom roms for your mobile model.

Download flashtool,
Download stock firmware (4.1.B.0.587 )for your device and move them to the Flashtool installed directory firmware folder

Extract the downloaded firmware until you receive .tft file After the installation finished, unplug your phone from the computer. Power off your xperia phone. If it continually reboot, pull out the battery and wait 30 seconds.Now click Flashtool thunder symbol like followingscreen shot.

In the Mode selector tick flash mode

If your firmware not display in firmware selection window locate your firmware file savedfolder.

Inthe Select a Firmware section, choose the correct firmware for your phone and tick Wipe cache, Wipe User Data

Finally click the OK button to start the flashing process. Enable your bricked phone flashmode. 2012 and 2011 series user should press and hold the Volume down key, Arc, Arc S, Neo, NEO V USER SHOULD PRESS AND HOLD THE BACK KEY . Now press and hold the flashmod key and connect your phone into the computer via USB cable. Now it display the installation progress, after the installation finished, flashtool displays success and now disconnect your phone from the computer and power on. First boot will take a few minutes.
If flashtool doesn't recognize ur device , install adb drivers ,to root search one click root =eroot (google it) and root it.

first method to fix this
1. Open Sony PC Companion / Update Service software turn off phone...press and hold back button and insert usb cable and update

Removing all the unwanted apps like TIMESCAPE, etc wont give the solution.

Once your stock ROM gets slow then it is difficult to do work in your mobile.. I faced a lot like that.

An unlocked bootloader only helps you in installing ROMs and overclocking your cpu.

Other than that the regular functions of ROM on a Locked or Unlocked Bootloader are same.

So it is not necessary to unlock your bootloader unless you have planned to try different kernels and overclock your mobile cpu.

# you get 2.5days of battery , nice . sometimes my battery dies in 5hrs as I browse much .If u havent unlocked bl u cant flash every custom Rom, and I feel no need of flashing stock based Roms , coz if U r rooted U can uninstall all those unwanted apps (bloatware) manually, thus freeing more ram, more battery and no lagging.
If U r into unlocking bl try zero percent fix tool from xda , it was very easy for me.

For all Neo V users if U want to root easily, try eroot(just one click) from Xda u need to install android SDK drivers . Though I request U to go thoroughly about bootloop failures and how to overcome them( for ex. if U uninstall home launcher from system app without having any other launcher , ur mobile goes blank and u cant revert it . U have to flash again stock rom, which is annoying process for newbies)
If U have time , improve ur knowledge from xda forums and customise and upgrade neo V ,coz it has become old now, otherwise go for new mobile.

My phone(neo v) freezes in a wierd way.. when am typing a message suddenly the keyboard freezes.. like I can input letters but there's no output in the text box.. with that even the things in the notification bar freezes, like, the time, wifi/3g signal.. I don't what to do.. It's really annoying..
can someone please help me solve it.. I don't want to format my phone,.. so some way without doing that??
Please.. thank you..

As it is my battery lasts 2.5 days with UHD 4.0.. So i just hung on with it..

Tested Pureness ROM too.. Lots of features.. But battery life was standard..

Before a month we saw Xperia Z1 with advanced features. But galaxy note 3 pushed it aside and conquered the throne with 3gb ram , a first of its kind USB 3.0 and many features.They r just gadgets .

Yes buddy icecream pureness is a good rom too.It is based on 4.1.B.0.587 ported mainly from Xperia Z . And Z1 honami rom is based on 4.1.B.1.13 , ported from Z1 .Both are for stock .587 with dual bootloader.
However every Rom is good as we get many new features.
Have u unlocked ur bl ? Which kernel have u flashed ?
