I am great of sony phones. got a new sony Xperia neo V. but it always gets hanged every now and then...not much apps are installed and lots of memory is free...responses very slow..pls help me to overcome this panic...its very irritating...

1. android sdk developer tools
2. flashtool
3. drivers
and fastboot...
Also, check that java is updated on your PC.. you won't be able to install the kernel without java..
after doing this visit this link and search for kernel installation

I use my phone at 1.6ghz OC......:D
No heating issues... moreSorry I just got migrated to custom rom.So not in a position to compare with earlier CM.
But overall the ROM looks stable.Bugs were 1.the superuser(right FXP141) and 1. wifi tethering.
Both got fixes and resolved now.
I guee this also got the WIFI off(when screen goes off) on random/rare basis- Yet confirm.
Also on chaging,battery status says full and it is at 100%,but in the notification bar you can still see the charging symbol- Nothing major.
Before I applied the patched,before the patches the camera allery was force closing ,and after the patching that is als fixed.Didn't check the video functionalities though!!
Connecting as USB disk a longer time than stock GB/ICS.

You have FXP142 CM10? How is it different than the other previous versions? Does it still have that excessive button light issue and non functional default camera?

THANK YOU very much for your JB ROM update guide.
Appreciate yourpateince for writing the steps in details more over writing in a reverse way so that the rest were able to read it insequence!!
Only issue I faced was the product nme validation- so modified the Zip package and took out the name checking in updater-script.
Update to CM10 FXP 142 now started applying patchs for SuperUser,WIfi etc..
Just want to check ,Do you run it in OC mode?Due to this any heat issues.CUrrently I am restricting myself at 1017HZ.

The moment I realised that I actually replied back at you thinking that you recommended a Ace Plus, instead was a Ace 2, it was already too late to modify or delete the post.....You actually recommended a good phone. But I am still standing by my word that a 800mhz per core is a bit too outdated for today.... Even benchmarks show that a dual 800mhz performs same as a single 1ghz. Plus the fact that such a dual core seemingly draws less developer (xda rom developers) attention, I would at least stay clear of it. It simply has no future.....

galaxy s advance is a good option.
option are limitless. add a few more amount and 2-3 option get added its a never ending thing. i just recommended a phone, didnt knew this will go like this.
and i m not defending but none of my option were wrong all were in the limit range of neo v.
don't know what happened it became a fight over here.
and regarding the core slowly and gradually the developer will start using the core as soon as the dual core get widespread.
and ace 2 will be getting jelly bean and as you said its the OS which decide the usage of core then definitely ace2, s advance will get benefited.
did i gave any wrong recommendation??

after using neo v for 4 mnths it hs startd 2 lag,specially plyng games like tmpl rn.which ran smoothly before.i have abt 110 mb fre int memry also.wht cn i do? is thr an optn to reset the phone to original state or sth?

Anyways, about single and dual core thing. When it comes to comparison between dual core 800mhz processor and a single core 1Ghz (1000mhz) processor, both has its perks and downfalls. I had rather live with a 1ghz single core because 90% of android apps can't utilize both cores of a dual core phone. So it just keep using one core of the two, hence limited to 800mhz limit. So I rather prefer at least a dual core 1ghz if I need a 'no compromise' phone. Hence my advice of a Galaxy Advance (or Xperia Sola).
The best advantage of a dual core is its ability to multitask better. As one core can handle one app, while the other process the second app. But this ability itself needs quiet a lot of thinking, cause the processor doesn't know which core is supposed to process which app. Hence, its upto the OS to decide that. Android GingerBread didn't have this ability, so dual core phones were app depended. If only a developer made an app which itself can utilize two cores, the whole processing power is harnessed. But after ICS and now even better JellyBean, the OS has this ability inbuilt. So even if an app is made for single core, the subsequent apps running in background are forced to be processed by the second core (hence not disturbing the first core, processing the foreground app, which leads to no lags).
In short, more cores is better but per core performance should not be ignored. And its always on the OS how a multicore processor is utilized. Hence for a better multitasking experience, you would need at least a 1ghz dual core running on ICS (or better still, JellyBean).
