Overall i can say this phone is supperbb but only the most important thing that is Battery Back up 1500Mah battery is not enough for this phone as it supports only for 7-8 Hours when u r using internet on ur phone but it seems problem with the android not with the sony as every android phones consumes more battery compared to other OS.

Hanumant, 03 Aug 2012can anybody tell me, is this device good to use or operate?... moreyour question is not suited with sony,it is not samsung or nokia.sony is known for its extraordinary hardware,camera,sound and design of the device too.
this is an awesome device,you should not confuse by its performance and use.just go through the shop and purchase it.

Pattnaik, 04 Aug 2012Very bad phone...after one hour internet use the back panel... moresony phones are not for everyone just as motorola because this is a category of high end thoughts.
sony mobile contains extraordinary hardware,best camera,best sound etc.
nokia and samsung are for everone even they are child or old person,so those who are facing probs to handle sony phone just go through nokia or samsung.

Plz help me. I just bought neo v but I'm not able to connect to my laptop. ( hard drive shows, but pc companion does not install)I use windows xp sp3. My PC's ram is very low 512+256=768mb and its not changeable. That's why I cannot install win7.When I connect it the pc companion does not start. Autorun does not work, so I manually try to start the application then it show nothing. Previously I used live with walkman and that was also not connected. What's the problem? Can anyone tell me? Does it not support on xp?

I want to clarify to somany people about the heat problems. I am also facing the issue. But this is not a big deal because, the phone gets heated up only when you play games or using wifi when the mobile is getting charged. So the heat problem occurs only when you do something while your mobile is charging. This is common in somany mobiles. when you talk on phone while charging it, it gets heated up due to electro magnetic interference I guess. Only the top upper portion at the back will gets heated up. Probably the Processor was fixed there

Very bad phone...after one hour internet use the back panel becomes so hot ...camera is good during day time only...Night time even worse then 2 MP cameras in other phones...game like temple run fails to respond after 1 mins...my phone was somewhat ok with 2.3 but it became worst after 4.0 upgrade...the touch response is s not so good now...apart from camera and gaming other things are good... So think before you purchase...

Play hd g... morei browse a lot and use internet throughout the day as I'm starting away from family in overseas. i use fring and Skype on this device which needs internet connectivity always (hope you know this). in spite of this i use opera mini browser a lot for everything even then, i have not felt the heat much, yes it heats up but not to the level you are experiencing or exaggerating.
send me your email address I'll send my usage screenshot then you will know how much time i spent on internet.
you have questioned about my phone usage "i think you didn't use Sony neo v". looks like you are here to scare neo v users about heating issue. phone heating is common in android because of their big processors. refresh your knowledge on android please.
regarding internet connection on pc using phone: there are 2ways
1. use Wi-Fi hotspot feature: go-to settings, wireless and networks, tethering& portable Wi-Fi hotspot, hotspot settings and here enter password and save it. then check portable Wi-Fi hotspot once you do this, you will see Wi-Fi hotspot icon in notification. now go-to your laptop and turn on Wi-Fi, you will find network available notification, click on it and it will ask for password, enter password you created on phone. you are done.
2. usb tethering: install pc companion on your pc. connect your phone to pc, then go-to settings in phone> wireless& networks> tethering& hotspot> usb tethering, check this and you are done.
remember you should have data plan to browse on pc as it consumes more data when you browse on pc. speed depends on your location and your data plan. subscribe to 3G to get good speed.
