Grown up kids will want it too. The highest spending demographics happens to be teens and college kids, and this phone is targeted toward them. We have 9's across the board, so it looks like it has plenty of interest and positive feedback. An iPod phone wasn't such a great idea back then and look it now. If SE implements BT controllers while using a TV-out, this device can merge portable and home console gaming together while also uniting cell phone market and video game markets. Laugh at this device. The Wii's stupid name and TV remote was ridiculed too. Hard to be "forward thinking" about the many possiblities. Sony is making a comeback! In a year, the PS3 will overtake the 360 in overall sales when everybody hated Sony in 2006 for selling the PS3 so high. We didn't want Blu-ray, and now look. It won the format war. This PlayStation phone is going to be smash hit. Maybe easily become the best-selling Android phone of all-time. There is a market where people would rather play games on their phone than snap pictures.

By the looks of it.. it's still too early to judge the phone after all, SE is not really planning to unveil the phone anytime soon.

Well, this is still under development..its specs would change and even the design...After seeing Sony ericsson s004, Urbano Mond and s006, I won't believe that SE(especially SE Japan) would allow such design.

What would be awesome is if this PSP phone has a TV-out similar to a Sega Nomad and Sony PSP. Our current phones is already matching up to the resolution of our HDTVs with the ability to scale down. Then with a Bluetooth wireless controller, we can play our games on our TV while also being plugged to an outlet as it charges. Home and portable console gaming merged together. This already has tech specs as good as the Wii. A new home and portable game console for the price of one.

This PS phone will be SE's way of making a dramatic comeback. This will redeem them the same way Motorola did with the Droids. After the success of the RAZR, there was a time when Moto looked dead in the water. This year is the first time Moto has posted a profit after three years. Naysayers can rag on this PS phone now. No Nintendo to deal with it in this market and way more experience than Nokia. Nintendo's biggest rival in portable gaming is Apple because they share the same target audience - casual gamers. PlayStation/Android can cover all the bases.

I don't know if this PlayStation phone becomes a smash hit right away. Could have a ton of bugs early on. Will take time for more refinement. It all depends on how good the games are on it and then it will find its niche that can grow from there. SE has disappointed too much as of late and it is hard to predict. Tomorrow's bridesmaid was yesterday's favorite. Who knew PlayStation would be so popular back in the mid-90's? Who knew the Wii would become such a hit after weaker sales from the N64 and GameCube? And what about Motorola's dramatic comeback thanks to Android and Verizon? Give Sony props for at least trying. This isn't going to turn out like another Nokia N-Gage. Android is too strong from preventing that to happen and Sony has far more experience with the gaming industry. I love the concept just because I don't always want to deal with Apple's censorship. But the execution of making this work in a complicated and competitive cell phone market that deals with different carriers is another huge obstacle they have to face. I just wished SE used the Tegra 2 over the Qualcomm. Far more power efficient that battery life could be amazing on this thing. If this device sells for $399 UNLOCKED ($200-$300 cheaper than an iPhone 4 w/o contract) and be released in many carriers, it will be a hit. If not? Oh well! Less people for me to deal with when I want to buy it on launch day! Potentially playing Tekken online with my phone sounds to good to be true for me. I call this SE's comeback phone the way Motorola came swinging back with their Droids. I want this PlayStation phone no matter the cost!

I know some people are underestimating this device and say it will flop. PSP still sold over 60M and this is with Sony as a "rookie" against a company with already 15 years more experience with handheld gaming and more solid fanbase in that department. Sony came in with a clean slate while Nintendo had the advantage of a lower price point because of inferior hardware and backwards compatibility. Remember, Sony was a newcomer with consoles and wiped out Nintendo twice in a row in home console sales. Just because they didn't hit the PS3/PSP out of the ballpark in this gen doesn't mean the PlayStation brand is dead. Nintendo and Apple didn't always have a hit either. After a decade, it is amazing to think the PS2 is still selling over 100K a month in Japan! PlayStation is still a more popular brand to Sony than Walkman. Sony is not dealing with Nintendo in the cell phone market and both Apple and Nintendo share the same target audience that could crash the gaming industry. Too many 99 cent games in the App Store. Casual gamers drives the mobile gaming industry, but hardcore gamers drives the entire industry because of their willingness to pay premium for premium games. Think of casual gamers like fair weather fans in sports team. They come and go. With too many of the same crappy 99 cent games, it becomes hard to standout for game developers.
