phone becomes extremely heated... moreAre you sure there isn't any programme running in the background that may be draining your battery?
Have you installed any new application/game recently that may be the cause of your battery problems?
Make sure you haven't got any malware/spyware on your phone, by installing and running any (free) antivirus programme.
If all that is useless, you'll have to take back your phone to a shop to have it repaired as it will most probably be a hardware problem inside your phone.

Ive got live walkman and I know a lot of you are upset about no ics but it really does ruin the gaming! Anyway im back on gb -smooth as hell compared to ics and I want to get an hvga version of modern combat 3. My phones not rooted and I dont have any access to a pc so can any of you guys help or give me a link please? Ive tryed aptoide and blackmart but no working version found!

xperia play showing LOW INTERNAL MEMORY 28MG etc while sd card has 7GB MEMORY SPACE LEFT .. had to reset to factory setting losing all apps music photoes etc .. reloaded some essential apps --internal memory now 83mb .. searched sony xperia play forums and many have same problems .. LEAST SONY UNCARERS CAN DO IS TO RELEASE AN APPS WHICH GIVES OPTION TO USE SDCARD MEMORY FIRST --AS WITH MANY OTHER HANDSETS FROM NON SONY MAKES ..sony fony are you listening ?? sony- donot send in "servants" to abuse and insult ..

xperia play bad let down by SONY has made longstanding loyal sony customers worldwide very disappointed with SONY pity !!!..only two major front runners APPLE and SAMSUNG 2012.

It's not impossible to port ICS on the XPlay device, as the cost of doing that would be very high and the profit/sales increase non-existant, or very little."
That is so true!
Major companies desert and abandon customers whenever the money is in and that is shameful.
No european laws protect customers from abusive companies.
This is not the worst case, but it is typical:
release an innovative phone - publicise it as future-proof and then... if it doesn't sell well... just drop it.
ICS could function as well with the gamepad as Gingerbread does. Lower specs phones have been upgraded, so the big issue here is:
Is Sony willing to make the effort to keep its promise (and not because there is still big money in it)?
Unfortunately, the answer is obvious: No. Aony siimply doesn't care enough.
Like any lazy kid, sony simply said "Too much trouble. Won't work."
And gullible customers, fanboys and employees repeat that key sentence as a mindless herd.
A precedent has been created.
Don't forget that if we just say 'yes', this excuse will be accepted every time it is used:
"It won't work with your hardware."
* Actually meaning: "Come and buy us a new phone!"
Companies who recur to such schemes should be lawfully punished.
