I dont want to make excuse but this smartfone took a long time to produce and they got most of it right.There is one hell of a lot of tech stuffed in this smartfone...Its only one in the world and s/e need to bring out this fone again but streamlined and updated with latest proccessors..Perhaps with Ice Cream Sandwhich on it straight out of box..
I am buying one Monday to try out but wish s/e or Sony now would bring out playstation smartphone 2..

URGENT! why i downloaded gammes from android market(for example:Cordy) i can open the game at 1st...but after i shut down my phone and open again,my phone cant play the game....(it showed appication not found) anyone know please reply!!

how to upgrade to 2.3.4? when i click software update its say i hve the latest software....
one more,y i cant download bruce lee?when the download reach 74mb its crash! says error reading file.. huhu.. anybody help..

I love the idea of the playstation mode, but seriusly, where would you play with?Only in cases of large journies.Then it's too large and does not have any QWERTY so i think it's difficult to write texts.It would be finest if it had, i don't know, a 2-slider mode: the QWERTY, and the playstation mode.

If the other values next to it have number next to them, it means that the software is updated with your service provider's custom bloatware, and other restrictions etc.
Use watanserver.com to debrand.

Julian, 21 Nov 2011They don't seem to brand the phones these days, just lock t... more£233 inc postage. It is the white one.
Now, I just discovered that it was o2 branded because I did a software update from 2.3.3. to 2.3.4. and when I switched the phone on and off, it had installed that stupid o2 splash screen.
So to recap, ithe updates to my phone come from o2 and not S.E. direct which means that in the future if there is an update, then O2 has the final say on it :(
However there is a very easy solution for this problem in that I used 'wotanserver.com' to unbrand the phone which will allow me to get my future updates from sony ericsson themselves without having o2's involvement.
It is free and all you need is a laptop/pc and follow the so simple instructions on the site :)
You can confirm weather it works by entering the secret menu dialer code on your phone.
The code is *#*#7378423#*#*
Next goto 'service info' then to 'sim lock'.
before the debranding all the values were five except the top one, now after debranding, they are 0. except for the top one, which is still 4 meaning I just need 02 to allow the use of other sim cards (which they will do).

juz got mine juz now...haha.. so xcited!!! but i notice my phone slider little bit loose.. this make me very frust..i hve use slide phone bfore (SE G705) n about 1 yrs use its slide loose..nvm its okay but this xperia play feels like 2nd hand phone even its ori and new set... huhu.. :(( is anybody face this loose slider problem too??

I bought my play from http://www.dialaphone.co.uk/aw2/pay-as-you-go/tmobile/sony-ericsson-xperia-play/PAYG_OurBestDeals_P3 it was £149.89 and I had to buy £10 talktime with it, I got ot on T-Mobile but it is fully unlocked and came with a 16gb sd card. I love this phone even after having an iphone and an n7, this is the best phone I have ever had.

i've been using this phone for almost 5 months now and i dont have any problem with it. i received 2.3.4 over the air update last week and i'm happy about the performance of the phone. The battery lasts longer than before and its a little bit faster before the update. btw, the music player is great and try using a bose or a beats over the ear head set and you will be surprised of the music this phone is producing with the help of premium headsets and its amazing!.

It is odd that even though the phone is locked to o2, there isn't even an o2 logo splash screen when the phone is switched on or off or anything on the case to suggest branding of any kind ?!
Should be getting the unlock code from o2 any day soon hopefully...
