What I really love about the play is that it's awesome as a phone as well as a gaming device!
Keep in mind that the play is not sacrificing anything that other phones have! The play has an awesome screen, great rocking speakers, good camera and a very smooth and fast running OS.
So really the play has it all, and when it comes to its price it's also not beatable!
What's more? Both Sony and S/E will continue to support this baby!
So, believe me you won't go wrong at all buying this phone, I promise you that you will enjoy it a lot! Phoning + gaming + multimedia :D

If you need a good camera and want an updated photography experience in your device, go for the Arc S. For everything else, the Play is very similar but has the addition of the full gaming pad.
The Play's camera is awful as it lacks a dedicated camera button and Sony Ericsson's wonderful camera interface.
It's all about the camera vs gaming. Decide what's more important to you, and go from there.

Anyone else notice that the screen at the bottom half a centimetre (just above the keys, i.e. where the media/messaging/menu/contacts and phone buttons are)is irregularly responsive?
Apart from this issue the phone has been fine but it's really starting to grate at me.

Hi, I'm in South Africa and have found one of these devices at www.expansys.co.za for a very good price and I also found out that the DStv Mobile Drifta works on this device very well.

It is a good smart mobile but its slider gets loose after many use and typing problem .

It is really fun to play games. but, the biggest negative point is the internal memory. Most games on android need phone memory as storage. So, you cant carry too many games on your phone at once. But, the graphics are awesome.
