saw one of these the other day.
it has top have one of the lowest quality screens ive ever seen on a modern handset. it isnt even as good as my old HD2.

The play is excellent. batterylife at 100% as round 35 hours. using it just to call/receive lasted almost 3 days. I think SE optimized hardware because of games.
memory card is hotswap. theres a sensor inside the cover that disconnects card as soon as cover's removed. if you aim at playing games this is the top phone. 4" screen always available, in iphone you have 3,5 and then less if you need to put your fingers on the screen. you have a pad. you have hi quality graphs. iphone is just marketing. bluetooth? yes if you have another iphone. videocall? yes if you have another iphone...4. just BS. it´s fashion, for sheeps who follow trends.

Well, I have been using this fone for almost a month now and I geniunely rate it awesome for all itz techs and specs. However, there are few drawbcks which surely can be overlooked considering its output and classy features, like .. Itz a bit heavy or bulky than others in the same Que, itz low on internal memory, camera lacks zoom like my other SE fone mini pro while clicking pics or videos (performs zoom aftr clicking or on saved media), aukward volume bar placement although they cudnt hve placed it elsewhere! Lastly, the high price tag

i have the 3gs right now, and i hate it... i love playing on it, but it has poor battery life, its dense, u cant exchange batteries or memory cards and its fragile. would this be a better phone in those categories?

yeah, lol is the right answer to that...
I have an iPhone4 and the xperia play. the batterie
lasts at least twice on the play comparing to iphone4,
but i am really playing much on the xperia, so i think it could also be three times longer than the iphone4. I would buy the play again, iphone4 not :)

Sony Ericsson has said the Xperia Play will run on what they call "The Z Engine", which is supposed to be the BRAVIA (From the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc) adapted for gaming. The 1 Ghz Processor may be single core, but this phone is equipped with dual bus technology, meant to manage tasks about as fast as a dual-core phone. I haven't read all comments but I bet iPhans are crying here saying how this sucks, but just so you know, the iPhone has the same processing power as this phone, BUT NO ADRENO 205.

I haven't got one, but I desperately want one. This is the first real gaming phone, and thank god it doesn't solely rely on touchscreen like Apple.

I gave this phone back before it was too late.
battery life bad, half a day with moderate use.
Touch controls on game pad complete crap! major annoyance.
Video camera complete crap, sound off sync.
I am disappointed with the phone, I'm glad I won't have it for 2 years and I'm actually happy with my old spica again for now!

What can I say in this phone is it was really great but the one thing that I really dont like is the slide. Why dont a sony ericson make bar type with a touch button key so it will not visible and appear more a phone and not a psp.
