Guy, I bought this phone yesterday, it's superb. Im not gona say much, but for those of u who ain't sure which phone to buy, go with xperia pro.

Perhaps this is regional difference (due to privacy laws in some countries???). Try a different regional firmware from WotanServer.com.

Btw, I'm in Malaysia (Asia)... if region of purchase has anything to do with this. Build number 4.02.A.0.62, android version 2.3.4

anyone who has this phone can take pics silently?

Hi Folks....
i am using Pro for last two months....
Nothing Much! this is Great...... with out GPRS GPS and other services battery stands for two days.... with full day GPRS(mails, gtalk & ETC) one and half may some less.... but truly its a great one!!!! loved it... :)

UNHAPPY XPERIA PRO, 08 Mar 2012Previous Xperias, such as the Neo, suffered from excessive ... moreplease stop copy and paste without thinking ,first of all this is xperia pro forum and not xperia s but any way i will answer u about xperia s camera ,xperia s has a 12 mp camera that is capable to capture great photos with great colors and contrast which even beats the iphone 4s camera ,the issue you've mentioned about image compression is true but only noticed when u fully zoom the image you've captured,and for most of the people viewing images fully zoomed is no practical.

Pro is compact, whereas Arc is larger but thinner.

Previous Xperias, such as the Neo, suffered from excessive image compression, and that's still unfortunately an issue with the Xperia S. There's no option to change the JPEG settings to create bigger, prettier files comparable to what you'd get on the Galaxy S II or iPhone 4. The default compression has improved considerably since the Neo, with 12-megapixel stills averaging a file size of 3MB, but that's still not enough.
