I bought it from Dubai from Axiom Telecom at price $490. I love the black color so i got it. In Dubai the red was released first and i was going nuts that i would get the red but i waited for few days till Sony Ericsson decided to send me the first black Xperia pro that arrived Dubai :) i got it before it was on stores in 2 days :D yes i couldnt leave Sony Ericsson alone and i kept nagging haha. The color is up to you my friend ;) black is nice. Silver is nice too.

I... moreYes, it is great for playing games and handles the latest mobile games like need for speed shift etc. with excellent 3D graphics (has same CPU and gpu as Xperia play).
It also is one of the best devices you can get for playin emulators in that the qwerty is superior to using on-screen touch controls. I have set up my controls in such a way that it feels just as good as a mega drive or snes gameepad! (I configure w for forward, a for back, q for left and s for right for optimal directional control that is fast to use with one thumb - a bit weird at first but great when you get used to it. You can then set up volume key and camera focus buttons for l and r on snes).

DarkStarJD, 20 Oct 2011Ok so i am gonna get the phone soon but before i do i just ... more1) speaker is average. Good at video clips, games.. Below average at calls and music.. In both ways the sound is so loud.
2) yes you can take 3D pics but not sure if you can see them in 3D from the phone..
3) around a day, if with some stand by hours you can say (with wifi on and email and fb sync are on too). But in use very heavily (browsing) it wont stay longer than 7 hours.
4) ofcourse you can.. Slider keyboard is made for typing ;)

I am gamer and also need a phone with query, I choose this phone and i want to buy it soon, but before buying i need to be completely sure about my choice and it's performance for gaming.

I got the black version and it looks great when you have it first hand and better than some online photos; you don't have anything to worry about the fingerprints as the online photos which showed those prominently were due to bright camera flashes.
It is also a very nice size - much more compact than online pictures. Fits very nicely in the pocket. Narrower than an iPhone but with a larger screen! Can't understand why anyone would get a phone without a keyboard after using this - the phone is so compact that you barely notice the keyboard is hiding underneath!
Near perfect phone! Surprised it doesn't get more publicity.

Ali, 20 Oct 2011Can anyone of the owners comment on the quality of the plas... moreThe phone is solid. The back cover is not a problem at all. Yes, it's thin. But it has lots of mounting slots that keep it in place. As far as finger prints, I had the same dilemma. They are not as noticeable in person (though still present, in large) as they are on any pictures you will find online. As a matter of fact, the phone looks a whole lot better in person. Over all feeling of the finish is similar to the clear coat on a car. Not too prone to scratching either. Though, not scratch proof. I tested it in the area between the power key and 3.5mm jack.
My solution for the back, is the Invisible Shield. I love that stuff. Adds grip too. Unfortunately Zagg does not have one cut out for the Pro yet. I have cut one out myself, using a tablet screen protector (Invisible Shield of course).
The screen itself seems to be VERY scratch resistant. I tested it on a Neo (at a store) with a car key and all the might I have. It didn't budge. As a piece of mind, SE slaps a screen protector (not the blurry one for packaging. the one under it) on their phones at the factory. That one will scratch just like any regular aftermarket protector.
To make an example, the reflections on the black plastic are just as clear and shiny as they are on the chrome part of the phone. The color is deep, the feel is solid.
Bottom line, there should be no worries about the plastic.

Baars, 20 Oct 2011The back cover is made of rather thin plastic, but when it ... moreI have the black. The plastic does have a quality feel. It's not as bad with regard to fingerprints as some online photos might make it look - you don't really see them unless you put the phone in a bright light (such as a camera flash).
The glossy texture does mean it can get a bit greasy and slippy. The silver seems to have the same texture so shouldn't be any different in that respect. Not a big deal though as it's cleaned easily with a quick wipe. There is a screen protector in the box - haven't tried that yet but should probably improve the screen. Anyone tried any of the skins such as skinomi for the whole phone to help with this?
