is this phone gonna be available in the usa? if so is gonna work in att's 3g network? or 2g is fast enough? thanks to those who can provide answers

The Motorola Droid 3 was announced this month and is available this month. If I were in the market for a new phone (I'm not as I'm happy with my Desire Z), I'd be more inclined to go with the Droid 3 rather than wait for the Xperia Pro.

This smartfone is more in demand than usual because its formfactor is rare and its got superb spec list ..
You have desire Z also which i had trouble with video record and galaxy pro with awful spec and htc chacha with awful spec..Thats it along with Nokia E7 which is bad software and HTC 7 pro which is half finished software..
So if you want decent smartfone with keyboard s/e xperia pro is only option..
Come on s/e get it out ,please.

If I'm still going to buy this and keep WAITING and WAITING ans WAITING all the way until October, then they'd be better off just scrapping the Pro and using that time to jump straight to the Pro II (which no doubt they've already designed). Pro II should feature the following:
-Better material - not a horrible glossy fingerprint magnet surface that this looks like it's going to have (come on guys, the SE phones from the old days didn't have nasty glossy plastic like this). maybe carbon fibre.
-slightly thinner
-bigger battery - 2500 mAh
-ST-Ericsson NovaThor processor (dual ARM Cortex A9)
-better screen (keep the same size though), camera sensor, microphone, loudspeaker than Neo
-xenon flash
Really the Pro should be SE's priority top-end phone with all top features. Anyone who is serious about wanting it all wants a hardware QWERTY - touchscreen keyboards are only for Apple fashionistas and not hard-core power users!!
