hi im using ray for a long time..... does the ics update consume more internal memory or ram? i want to update to ics but hesitating whether it will slow down my ray n reduce space cuz i hear a lot of complaints abt ics update......

Dear friends, I asked from Sony company about "Notification light" after updating to ICS and they answered me this:
"We can advise that there is not a known problem with the LED notification light not functioning correctly on the Xperia Ray after updating to ICS.
If you were to experience problems such as this then we would suggest that you try to perform a repair of the software using PC Companion. If the issue is related to a problem with your software this will be repaired and your handset will work as intended. To do this, you will need to install PC Companion from the Sony Xperia website. Please follow the steps below to do this:
1. Go to www.sonymobile.com
2. Select Support
3. Choose your handset from the drop down list
4. Select "View All Software Updates"
5. Download for PC
6. Check the requirements and then "Download PC Companion"
To then perform a repair on your handsets software, please follow the steps below:
1. Open PC Companion
2. Start 'Support Zone'
3. Select Software Updates
4. Click on Repair
Please ensure your handset is not connected to your PC when performing the above as you will be instructed to connect your handset once you have followed the above steps. Your handset must also remain powered off at all times.
Please note it may be the case that user data is lost during this upgrade. We therefore recommend backing up any data to your SIM card, Memory Stick, or PC before upgrading."

Mehdim, 01 Jul 2012Shame on google with this performance downgrade and shame o... moreNot sure you can blame Google. Its Sony thats mostly to blame. They have released ICS updates full of bugs. 4.0.3 was like beta stuff. Check out Sony forums to know more about the heaps of bugs.

In updating your phone, use sony upgrade service, not pc companion. Had no problems when I upgraded it via SUS but had a lot when I used pc companion. Why? SUS deletes everything in your phone.

It primarily depends on what you do with your phone and how many applications and processes you are running or you allow to run on your phone. I hope that clarifies everything...I play games and make calls, chat and my battery lasts 1.5 days on average. :)

Sony Ericsson Xperia ray does not have auto flash option while using main camera.
