I liked one of your points that you said you don't use your phone while it's on charge. This is how you could save your battery life. Most of the people are unaware of this. And keep in mind that overcharging of the battery causes overheating and could cause short-circuit too. Significant overheating may reduce the life span of some cell phone batteries. An old or damaged battery is more likely to overheat through overcharging than a new one.
I recommend you to use an original charger for the phone and charge it only when your battery charge is low. Otherwise, your battery can cause memory loss!..For those who are surprised by this i'll explain in detail..It occurs when the battery is not discharged completely before being recharged. If you do this on a regular basis, your battery can develop a memory loss. For example, if your battery had an hour of charge left and you recharged it, the battery could forget that hour in the future, reducing its performance. Proper battery care prevents this.

No doubt it's a very good phone to have at this price,but there are 2 drawbacks of the phone:
1. The battery drains much faster compared to the usage of the phone,i hardly use my phone to listen to music,or play videos or games,also i don't turn on the wi-fi regularly but still the battery lasts only for a day.
2. They've mentioned that it has LED flash with camera but it's only photo light..which leaves you hadicapped at night.

-brightness of 40%
-no animation
-medium ringing tones
-data traffic, wifi, gps off when not in use
-i'm moving every possible app to sd card
-using adw launcher instead of default one
-not using any battery saver, since I dont think I need it yet, maybe
-not using my ray for browsing, video playing, or listening to music while charging ( I always did that with all my phones)
-using mini browser (ex:opera mini, dolphin mini) if I dont need flash player, such as countdown for downloads
-etc
please give me some opinions, oh and sorry if my english is wrong in some ways

The ray is one sexy device exuding premium feel for its price range. It's fast, fluid and downright snappy. Just finished upgrading it to ICS and the result wasn't that pleasant. The battery life improved a bit, surely some other improvements as well but sadly speed was sacrificed (prior to the update opening apps and such are usually instantaneous, but after the update it takes around 2 seconds for an app to open) and eye candy on some apps turned ugly or common(like the phonebook). IMHO the ray is already perfect as is on Gingerbread. Personally I regret upgrading to ICS. To those who are owners or would-be owners of this phone i suggest you stick to Gingerbread if it already does everything that you need. Cheers!

although ray and pro has same config,but i heard ray performs better then pro.is it true?which phn will b more durable and more of high built quality,pro or ray?does both get ics 4.04 upgrade?plz help

it is very nice phone. slim and style...but a little poor battery life. I am loving it now,

well good phone but no flash and problem with wifi connection every time have to restart the router when problem occurs plz anyone help me out to resolve this and about the ics update few are giving negative review while some are giving positive reviews plz help me out guys whether i should update or not

well phone is good but no flash and problem in wifi doesnt connect some time have to restart the router every time when this happens nd lot of the users have criticized ics while some are saying its good plz help me out guys whether i should go for the update

Just upgraded to ICS 4.04 version after tried multiple times. Just wish the upgrade can be done OTA just like Samsung. Overall there are some improvement over the old 2.3 version.
1. Generally operation speed has been improved, stll experienced some lag but more acceptable as compared to previous version. Last time I already prepare myself for faster phone. Luckily with firmware update the operation speed has improved and I can reassure myself to hold on to this phone much longer.
2. Smaller font . I welcome this as Ray has an excellent hidh pixel dencity screen. The screen itself somehow appeared nicer with better contrast/clarity.
3. New camera interface. As a DSLR user I really appreciate the inclusion of exposure compensation. Just wish Sony will include some control over ISO.
For me the increase in operational speed itself is a good reason to upgrade to ICS. Hopefully battery life will also improve.

all the hype about ics / android 4 - so eager to upgrade - and then the 1st thing u notice - everything is slowing down !!!!!!!! and then the VERY USEFUL BRIGHTNESS shortcut dissapear - so although it is an "upgrade" techinically , in reality it is an DOWNGRADE !!!! now anyone knows how do i revert back to the previous version - what was it again gingerbread oh yeah one more thing - button became less tactile ....very very extremely dissapointing.....

what is much better? Xperia ray or xperia neo? they both have 8 mp camera and hd recording. I want to buy a new phone but i'm confused if i'll get a ray or neo. thanks in advance.
