Ray is name of the phone and ICS is Android OS version 4.
ICS stands for Ice Cream Sandwitch.

[deleted post]ICS is android version 4.0. Xperia ray is running android version 2.3.4 out of the box can upgrade to version 4.0 ics.

Hi, My Xperia Ray has a problem , Its screen suddenly start blinking and often happens many times in a day.
Sometimes the screen blinks 4-5 times continously and sometimes 20-25 times. plz advise the reasons.

prspdn, 08 May 2012Hi all I just updated my xperia ray to Ics but it has some ... morei also face another problem in performance of the mobile. after ICS xperia ray becomes bit slow. Also contact image is not displaying in full screen. while selecting pictures from galery for contact persions it allows only part of image to set. it is look like a old version phone. Please resolve it in next release.

One more doubt ..When I download an MP3 files after downloading in music player the artist or album cover photo will be of some other that I previously downloaded ... Guy's pls reply why and is there any way to change the cover photo and when I updated my ray I backup all my contact and move all apps to sd using apps 2 sd after updating I cannot find my apps in sd card .....

That very complicate way to registering some voice for a message is NOT what I actually meant, and wanted to find out about this phone. Maybe I wasn't too clear when I've exposed my problem... So, I reformulate:
Didn't found any Voice Recorder Application in my SEX-R apps list, and this fact determined me to think, that my Sony Ericsson is NOT CAPABLE to record external sounds, or phone call conversations internally by hardware and/or software. Is this statement correct, or I'm wrong about it? If I'm wrong, and it does, please specify how it does, eventually which app should I install to gain that functionality?
I apreciate the earlier response, even if it was irelevant, but wanna get more precise info on this matter. So, I thanks in advance for your helpfulness again...

Not able to update my phone to ICS through PC companion..during update it says that Android 4.0 software is available for upgrade but then when pC companion is preparing to update it stops and says : unable to install phone software components" ..any advice how can i update my ray to iCS

Hi everybody ! Just purchased the device for my wife, very nice smooth performances, quick surfing, apps performing beautifully. HOwever encountered a small problem : can't download apps from the marke, il tries and then says "error caused 404..." ot something like that. Anybody have a clue ?
