Hi, am very much interested in this phone... anybody knows.. does it hav a Gorilla glass display and also about the battery backup... on comparing it with samsung wave s8500

After trying a dozen androids, this is by far the most elegant phone. The interface of SE is way much better than moto and samsung. The camera is excellent and battery life above average when compared to defy, atrix, arc, galaxy s2....speaker, camera, screen are excellent. Overall a great phone, Sony Ericsson have done a great job when it comes to user interface..cheers

ray audio quality = vivaz audio quality
vivaz audio quality is worst i've had on a phone ever (even my old SE j220 sounds much beter)
i had vivaz and sold it cause of this, and i've been waiting for ray all this time for nothing. Check gsmarena review and you will see vivaz and ray have both the same results about audio.

Samsung is bottom of the bin, and 11 months with HTC has shown me that they are not a bit better. HTC use alot of metal to give an illusion of solid quality, its all an illusion made to fool YOU, and dey fooled me for a while, i disliked my HTC more and more each day, now im so fed up with their crappy android fones, wanna puke in ur face man

which one is better...... moreDont get HTC, i regret so much and others do also. Many problems with shutting down by themselfes and other things, and ppl try to get dem repaired in europe has to wait for 6 weeks and watever before they get the defective fone returned to them. SonyEricsson and Nokia are still the onli manufacturers offering acceptable quality and reliable service.
Another serious problem wit HTC is Sense, their implementation of this on Android is not up to western standards, if you expect everything on a phone to work as intended tehn HTC is not for you.

I like d specs, screen is smaller than i am used to but i cud live wit that. The main problem for me is Android, and especially Android 2.3, and its weak multitasking capability. can anyone check if this fone can keep 2-3 browser tabs/windows open for an hour while using lots of other apps in the meantime? I think no Android phone can do this, but how bad is it on this model? Will browsertabs close by themselfes by using just one other app? Or does it take more? Pls test if u hav dis fone

i bought this phone last week.nice to view great performance..i just wonder, should i root as my past X8?.as tips by XDA.it's to hard to understand their steps..anyone..any simple tips like oneclick superuser.

xperia Xray, 08 Oct 2011wow....... Ray is amazingly beautiful.and it is very compac... morehave had this phone for 4 weeks now and it is fantastic! it is fast and responsive. The battery life is better then I expected! I had a x10 previously that just about lasted a day with heavy usage this easily lasts the same day with 30% battery to spare! :D
The camera is just fantastic! Screen is great and the format is the best about this phone! A proper smartphone in a format that fits in my hand and in my pocket with out feeling like im carring around a brick!
As many say there are phones with better specification and power and bigger screen but they are much larger! (I choose between the iphone 4, xperia arc s, galaxy 2 and the Ray).
Ray for me. It's great with all this choose I must say :D

Try the free app 'Juice Defender beta' and lower your screen brightness to get the most battery life. Not tried it with the ray but works on the arc and they appear to have similar architecture. Good luck

hey guys,i have compared the rays lcd screen with the xperia arc screen. believe me,the bravia technology looks awesome in xperia arc screen as well as i think the best screen among the all xperia model is the xperia arc. the price of the xperia arc came down much more to afford easily,so think about the arc cause there is a very little bit price difference between the arc and the ray
