SE is the best brand out there. I sometimes wonder how people compare a Swedish Japanese product with crappy cheap by quality Korean shit. SE knows what they are doing. Their 512MB ROM'ed 1Ghz'd phones does way better than most of the dual cores out there. For guys who criticize SE for not coming up with a dual core yet, here's the answer. Their single cores does better as of now compared to others dual cores. And when they comes to the dual core race, others will have no chance.
Bottom line :
I'd rather drive a Swedish Volvo or a Japanese Toyota rather than a Korean Kia :D :P

Haven't you been reading the news? Google just purchased Motorola Mobility. This means that they will now be entering the hardware scene. Furthermore, the Google Nexus Prime has been awarded to Samsung. Read the news before you comment.

where google test their new os platform on the phone that supplied by the manufacturer like nexus etc. and lunch their os. so what u get in nexus some u get in other phone irrespective of the manufacturing companies but the new update will comes first to phones like nexus and then to the other phones so there is no difference in the os of the phones. each companies modifies the UI that's it.
so google is not the phone manufacturer.
so every one has their own opinion on manufacturing companies. so that's ur choice to choose which company suite for.

The Phone would cost around 335Euros or $483 as is mentioned by one of the spokesperson's of Sony Ericcson that it would be priced around 37,000 Yen in Japan.

Anybody out there who knows the retail price of this phone? I've been using nokia (symbian OS) ever since and this will be my first time to use Sony Ericson (Android OS) phone. Hope it'll arrived soon in the Philippines.

se should increase internal storage.their java based phone(a2 phones)have about 300 mb internal storage.

i think that Sonyericsson should grow up and give to the user more user data space. It is un acceptable in the year 2011 a company with magnitude of Sonyericsson giving you 300mb's in one of it's high end phones.
maybe this is the reason for not having great sales lately.

truth, 16 Aug 2011i too am a proud owner of g502 model.but i differ with your... moreyes i agree when G502 is new it hangs and restarts itself atleast 5-10 times a day but after 2 months use its hardly hangs and restart 1-5 times in a month for me i don't know about you. for me battery last for nearly 2 day but i don't know stand by bcoz my phone is always busy i never kept idle except while i am in sleep or in exam hall so i said so i said battery life awsome.
any news about ray lunch and price.

i'm really gonna buy this phone no matter how much the price is. For those who have it please give us feedbacks about the price, it's performance, etc. Play.com said that they'll have this phone by aug15 right? Is it really available now.

It has taken Two full Years to get what DOCOMO released in Japan during 2009. For e.g., Fujitsu F09a and few others which have the same size, but thicker because they are slide phones.
I have been waiting for the same spec to come to the rest of the world spec, as the phonebook in ntt phones are in japanese!
I AM GONNA BUY XPERIA RAY ON THE DAY ONE!
SLIM, MEDIUM FOOTPRINT, GOOD DISPLAY, REST OF THE SPECS ARE NOT A BOTHER AS IT IS COMMON FOR MOST PHONES IN THE SAME PRICE PLATFORM.
