I have good word that the Android 2.1 update is on it's way so the X10 can have all the extra goodies that 2.1 brings. I hope is ready by mid year, I don't want to wait too long for the update.

Thanx for the quick reply, the price looks scary but then again every new unlock high end smart phone comes with prices sky high! I have to wait for the price of the hand set to go down or get the vivaz pro because its more affordable.

And by that time people will be focusing on the mobile it self, instead of open discussions and opinions.

Thank you for your polite and gentle words, I also apologize for you along with other users for being aggressive and harsh lately because of some misbehaved
and disrespectful persons that made me loss the track of the real reason I am here! So I hope you all accept my apology because the main reason I'm here is not to fight it's because I want to have useful discussions with ya and help the users with my experience.
I'm also glad that you agree with me ph1, lately we have been agreeing more than disagreeing which is a good point :). However, even in case of disagreement we always respected each other and there was never hard feeling, so this is great.
Furthermore, I am asking all visitors and readers to be more open minded, so if I like SE and you don't like what I say, you can disagree with me without attacking me or the brand, everyone has the right to say what we wants and believes in since he will say it in a behaved and acceptable way.
Finally, this letter does not mean that I will stop defending this forum from people that will continue to bash and attack the brand without any logical reasons, I will continue to be strong, solid and ready to strike back in case of attack.
I send this letter to you all to show you that I care, and I am not selfish to just think about my self only, and if I made a mistake I take full responsibility for it as an adult.
At the end I still believe that SE Ruleeeeeees, and that's the reason most of you are here because they simply rule ;)

I agree with what you said, it all really depends on if SE will give an exact date for when they will release the 2.1 update online and if that date will be sooner rather than later.
I guess that all the people that are still around this X10 message board have some faith in this product. I'm sure everyone here adores the exterior design of the X10, and as long as SE keeps their words on the 2.1 update release, people will purchase the x10.

--> x10 a good phone, but i think its a bit late to the market and it comes with android 1.6 while its competitors come with 2.1 out of the box. se hv not given a date for the update so u cud be w8in a while. also another option is the htc desire which has similar specs but the preorder is currently about €200 cheaper than the x10. just tellin u the other option and hopefully this helps u decide whether the specs/features of this phone is worth €200 more than the htc desire.

--> i wasnt comparing u to an apple fan. i was saying its normal for ppl to be a fan of 1 brand. i was not trying to make u look bad but rather defend u or the point that some normal ppl such as urself can prefer 1 brand over another after spawner accused u of getting paid by se for ur comments. perhaps it was a bad example (or too extreme) and im sry if i didnt express that clearly.

--> i agree completely based on what is currently available. but im not dismissing any brands. motorola for example made a gr8 android phone for 2009. if they make the rumored moto shadow, i will definitely buy it. this is just 1 example. when samsung make samsung beam, i wud like to also give that a go. and if the competition has not kept up, in that time frame motorola and/or samsung might be making the best smartphones. htc has a rich history of smartphones tho so i doubt they would simply fall behind. based on what is currently available i wud agree with what u hv said tho.
