hmmm.... wow!
so much energy spent on arguing over a phone...
mostly by people who've got no clue about engineering/design/manufacturing/whatnots....
if you guys are so smart why don't you submit your CV's/Resumes to SE and see if they'll hire you so you could teach them how to do things "properly"..
BUT FIRST! the lot of you should learn how to speak/write properly...
Then once hired maybe you could teach them how to make a phone that does everything you guys seem to want packed into a small device...
phone/camera/media player/organizer/oven toaster/laser gun/galactic communicator/etc...
by the way... i've used nokia... LOTS of features.. but 3 months into using it... the phone hangs up when somebody calls... i can still play cool movies on it though.. and listen to my mp3... but it's a friggin PHONE! what good is it if it hangs up when somebody CALLS? The thing i like about Nokia is that they're like Toyota... lot's of shops that caters to Nokia... so when you need it repaired... it's easy to find a place to go to...
i've tried HTC too... tried to tweak it... for the simple reason that i wanted to change that simple thing called alarm tone.. wanted it to play an mp3 file... ended up using another application..
the camera.. well if i say all the things i don't like about it's camera this will be a very long list... let's just say my lomo vistaquest VQ1015 takes better pictures, and it's a keychain sized camera! And the music player? well the very frustrating part about this "smart" phone is that when i recieve an email or sms... the music stops... and NOT just for a few seconds.. the "smart" phone stops responding for a minute or two... sometimes it gets so annoyingly slow to respond i have the urge to throw it on a wall... so now i gave it to my gf... the thing i like about HTC is the build quality... very nicely made EXTERIOR. but that's about it...
samsung and lg? i haven't tried them.. frankly... their designs are ugly... the only desings i've liked so far are omnia and jet... some designs reminds me of the phones our china construction workers use to lug around during tea break... besides.. i have a certain distrust at a company who churns up new models every month/2months/3months...
X10 outdated already when it's released? i doubt it.
SE for me is like Blizzard... takes them so long to release starcraft 2 and diablo 3 but only because they're trying to release something good!
if i may make a suggestion to SE since for me... they're the only ones who make good camera phones...
why not make a lomo-feel camera phone instead of boosting megapixels (making 15mp camera phones) and the idiots ooohh and ahhh about how big the mp is.... most of whom are clumsy photographers i bet...
also.. SE for your touch screens.. why not try to make huge libraries of applications? or encourage people to make apps for your phones? like what apple did.... the iphone's camera sucks... it can't even transfer data to other phone brands via bluetooth... heck.. you can't even use bluetooth headsets with it! the only thing that makes the iphone great is the number of applications it has! it keeps people entertained while stuck on a long queue... or when taking a long ride on the MRT.. or when their just plainly bored with their lives... take away the applications it has... and it's just a piece of brick... i mean.. phone..
next gen SE phones don't have to be 15mp camera phone... or don't have to be "the first phone that is see through!"... 5mp camera should be enough for a phone... (people who want more? buy a real camera!) or like i previously suggested, why not try making the camera lomo-feel? like say.... harinezumi cam on an SE phone? next gen SE phones should focus more on content...

I would like to see them in the third position(after SE :D), but I think this will never happen. About Android, I read a few days ago they will be in the second place by 2013!

and this forum is NOT only for praising the company, like i said, i give credit where credits are due, and afaik, SE's last good batch of phones are their walkman and cybershot series, their smartphones are a little disappointment.

I just tried expansys and date and price is true ,,no way is that a fair price theres nothing new at all proccessor/cam/android all fairly common now, i think there caharging for past mistakes but 590 GBP is ridiculous..

Any way you have said what ive said for a long while we dont want s.e. to fail its part of the mobile fone world but i too have been so let but not going into that again..I wait with baited breathe along with everyone else at s.e. next big release only to wait forever and be disappointed and its just going to be same with x10 and sure of it..It would be nice if it does work but i highly doubt it..

They are affected by the economy crisis, and they still announced the X10, they announced Vivaz, they will announce a Satio sucessor this year. I know too the old P series were good phones, I like the P990 a lot, and the W960 too. :)

People are going to read these comments with at last people are speaking the truth about s\e and its lies..All the past comments even from me are really targeted at s/e not mobilemaster or phoenix people are fed up with it..k750 etc p900 etc great but since then the firm has gone down and thats true i could strangle s/e for selling me p990,c903,x1 ,k770 the lot ive had and really bad..I dont want s/e to fail but someone needs to kick them to get up to scratch...

By the way SE announce first the Satio, and Samsung announced the 12 MP camera phone, just Samsung made it available quickly. i know even Samsung announced the world's first 8Mp camera phone in 2005 Autumn, and the world's first 10MP camera phone in 2006 Summer. :) I know almost all the world records. I have infos about Japanese phones too. You saw that comment about Fujitsu? Those news I saw today in a Japanese site. Now don't make me to write more world records. Do you know what company has now the best camera phone? I tell it is NOT Samsung.
ABout the X10 is the first Andoid phone with 1GHZ CPU, and 4 inch!

I don't think so, this has a GREAT CPU, look at to Nokia, they even can't announce a 12MP smartphone, they even can't announce a smartphone with 1GHZ CPU, and SE did this before many other companies, like LG, or Motorola, Acer... :) They announce the first 12MP camera smartphone, I said this before, and I had to clean your brain. :D

You again claim that Satio is the only 12mp camera in market , i think you should take a look at Samsung pixon12 which is a 12mp camera phone also, so you are wrong
Second Htc has a snapdragon device the HD2 and which is Above 4 inch so your x10 has nothing to be proud of in terms of hardware Htc HD2 is the same and better
this means that HTC has the first 1ghz processor phone and not SE and again a 4.3 inch device and not SE
It is true you might be aware of SE , but i too am aware of SE products as well as other companys such as HTC , Nokia , Samsung and BB.

I say again to you guys SE Lovers like you have some company share in this company and do not want to hear the truth.
Have Nexus One HTC OS 2.1 for about a month now and my phone never crashed or had any problem. Google just few days ago too upgrade the software directly to my phone which took only about few minutes.
I think SE was just cut surprise when Os 2.1 become available so fast before Xperia X10 come out or say as always SE is behind in introducing their phone as they have been with many of their smart phone.
You guys have to admit SE are not fast enough to introduce their products in market and go on to start using other many good brand phone out there.
