I had this phone for 3 years (now I bought Z1). It had it pros and cons but in overall it was a very nice phone, my first smartphone. It's stock software (2.3) wasn't really the best so I rooted it a year ago and unlocked bootloader and then I entered in the world of custom ROMs and Kernels. I tried lots of ROMs and kernels (including Android 4.2.2) but I used mostly a wonderful ROM called DonutHD based on Android 2.3.7. It is much better than the stock ROM; it has lot of more features, it is faster, battery lasts longer, louder speaker and headphones, more free memory and RAM, better looking etc etc. I tried even eye-catching MIUI ROMs that looked amazing. My point: if you want to get the maximum of this phone, visit XDA and put some custom kernel/ROM. It will be a 10 times better phone :) I somehow feel sorry to replace this phone, I really liked it. But after it survived the worst nightmares with me (I dropped it 1000 times, I spilled wine, beer, water, coffee and all other liquids on it etc etc) it started getting random reboots, or it gets stuck. One of the strongest phones I've ever owned.
