maconstantino, 11 Jul 2011another thing is there is monitor-like with red x mark on t... moreMine has an E (Edge) with 2 arrows pointing in opposite directions instead of an H, I disabled this by going to Settings> Wireless & networks> Mobile networks> unmark Data traffic, after you've done this, E or H symbol disappears but a monitor-like symbol with red X-mark appears on the leftmost part of the notification bar. It doesn't drain your battery but will save your battery & your credits instead.:) It's a symbol to let you know that data traffic has been disabled. Then on the same page, under Network Mode, choose GSM only. By doing these, your phone won't be able to access the internet without your knowledge thru GPRS but only thru wi-fi (if wi-fi was turned on) thus saving you unwanted data charges and battery drain.

Hye guys i tried to upgrade my X10 to 2.3 gingerbread
but it seem to work slow and not working properly....
Do any of you guys have upgraded to 2.3 ginger bread.....??????Any of you guys f idea on this?????

The "H" at the top means that your internet is connected and does drain battery life, to turn it off go to settings-->Wireless&Networks-->Mobile Network-->Disable data traffic. Disabling it will save battery and can be turned on whenever it is necessary.

That H sign means HSDPA i.e., 3G network. Either turn off 3G or Download APN On-Off Widget to turn GPRS Off.

MS, 10 Jul 2011Does anyone know how to disable the useless predictive SMS ... moreif your running 2.1 press the spanner symbol and then look in the options there
if its 1.6 im pre sure press and hold the spanner symbol and go from there..
