Well , I would call it one hell of a surprise from
Sony Ericsson . Company just announced that
Xperia X 10 will get Android 2 .3 aka Gingerbread
update in the end of Q 2 or Q 3 start . It is
certainly a great news for Xperia X 10 owners,
who were sulking till now . The update release
will be based on Android 2 . 3 . 3 .
Sony Ericsson had earlier announced that
company has no intentions to provide any
further Android updates for the Xperia X 10 , but
today ’ s announcement is certainly a welcome
news .
According to SE on its product Blog :
We plan to bring an upgrade to Android
Gingerbread for the XperiaTM X 10 to generic
trade kits end Q 2 / early Q 3 this year .
The unlocked devices will be the first to receive
the Gingerbread update , but operator version
can also get lucky, but that is not for sure .
Limited Changelog :
The current plan is that the Xperia X10 will get
the Android standard Camera user interface and
therefore features like e .g . face recognition ,
smile shutter etc will be lost .
Moxier is replaced by the gingerbread native EAS
functionality .
Mediascape is being replaced by the media
experience widgets and music player included in
our new 2011 products .
DRM keys for protected content on your phone
will be lost in the upgrade process.
The Sony Ericsson Backup and Restore client is
not supported in the Gingerbread version and
will therefore be lost .
Support for bi- directional languages will be
reduced compared to the latest version of the
2 . 1 version of the Xperia X 10 .
The update will be available via the Sony
Ericsson update tool , not over the air , and at last
Xperia X 10 mini , mini pro and Xperia X 8 will not
be getting Gingerbread updates.

On experia there are 4 types of facebook pages. The first is the facebook application on the mobile. The second would be touch.facebook which alters webpages to make the suitable for touchscreen usage, the thrid is m.facebook which is the standard mobile website for facebook. finally you also have complete facebook page (as on pc) which you can zoom to use. with the massive screen such as this either one is just as good

awesome cant wait the best thing about this will be the equalizer for the media player thats the one thing android phones lacked for me i still miss my megabass on my w960i
