Or you can use the firmware flasher in XDA Developers forum if you don't want to wait. That's what I did, I flashed my UK Generic 1.6 to Generic World 2.1...

why is SE not launching the 2.1 update for X10i here in India,i have reports that they have launched the update for x10 mini and not x10i(big one),why this kind of behavior with x10i users....even though most of Indians who buyed this phone has the bigger one i.e x10i............what is happening???????it is really frustrating.......to chk for update every min. and still don't have it.

The On call volume is very low even if it is on max, any advice to increase it.

This X10 is really not perfect smart ph. low volume when your talking ( max vol). , cant install latest apps from android market due to OS 1.6 , wifi recieving poor compare with my motorola milestone. i contact sony erriscon singapore for OS 2.1 availity for X10, no reply, so i sold it .

I have only used SE phones like W550i, W900i, W910i, Xperia X1, C905 & now I am using this X10 & its the best phone ever,
Looking to forward to use the X12 in future.

You google\search apps in the internet (i.e. Audio Manager.apk) & then install it through a file manager (i.e. Astro) , that what i'm doing with my phone
, but you gotta write (.APK) when you search

Any free application to enable "Market" as we are NOT lucky to have the "Market" in our phone because "Market" is not available those X10 in the Middle East. Thanks for the help.

I cant install 3rd party Apps to my x10. And is it normal that media I save in my SD card cannot be viewed through the officesuite in the phone. And so are the Apps. They cannot be seen. Can anyone help me please..

I have been using X10 for 7 months now and just updated to 2.1 OS last Nov. 2. I bought mine here in Saudi Arabia. I enjoyed so much using my X10 as it caters all my basic needs and I love its social network integration. On the issue of X12 as X10 successor,X12 specs particularly its 4.3" screen is truly stunning BUT if SE does not implement again the "multi-touch", I will just go for HTC (definitely not Samsung as iPhone look-alike and Motorola). I have been an SE fan since P-series but SE should not afraid to implement "multi-touch" which is rumored being patented by Apple. In fact SE should activate X10 multi-touch capability during the next UXP or software update.

I have one and all your comments are right.
But compared to competors Camera is very good for day light photos or videos. Awaiting 2.1 OS for 720p Recording.
