I lived/worked in South America Jungle for 4 years and only Nokia, Moto and Samsung could stand the hot/harch/dusty conditions. All other brands failed too quickly.

The TRUE results of the... European Imaging and Sound Association [EISA] have announced their top choices for the Mobile Devices of the Year 2010.... Beware of liars here...
Who won the smartphone of the year award? Samsung with their Galaxy S. EISA calls it a “jewel in the crown” and they’ve absolutely creamed themselves over the quality of the screen.
Samsung’s Wave also won an award, it’s the “Social Media Phone” of the year.
And as for regular plain jane handsets, that award goes to Sony Ericsson with their 2.55 inch screen Android powered X10 Mini.

[deleted post]i had galaxy in my hands.screen is better,used plastic is not cheap as somebody here said is very good feeling in your hands,minus is only 5mp camera against xperia,minus for xperia-locked on 1.6 probably for another 30days or more and if someday will make promised update so only 2.1,plus over galaxy is 8mp camera and a little bit better battery life but not very noticeable.booth of them are top phones

@Anonymous, I've both X10 & Galaxy S - I'd say X10 is a better deal. X10's battery life is much better. It runs very smooth, looks much better, sports an amazing music player and camera. And as you said - with 2.1 update it'll get even better. Galaxy is lighter because of its cheaper plastic body. I don't like its build. Its display is very nice but that drains the battery faster especially when you're browsing web. It supports MT - which some will consider as a big plus. So that's my summary. Hope that helps.

Hello everyone. It has been a long time since I last posted but I have been very busy, but recently, after having met up with some of my old buddies at Sony Canada, I decided to come here and share a few things. First off my X10 is only my cellphone 50% of the time. But not because I dis-liked it, but a glitch in the 1.6 software was causing an issue for my cell provider on billing so they sent me a BB Torch for free to keep along with my X10, so I just have to wait for the update and I can get back to using it. And I will not have to wait much longer. I recently got a chance to play with an X10 that was running 2.1 and I can tell you something very exciting. Multi-touch is being worked on. Its not 100% yet but from what I got to play with, it was very very cool indeed.
