Mobilemaster, 19 Sep 2010I don't believe you my friend. The HTC Desire is MUCH bette... moreI don't tell that desire is bad, but the x10 is way better in specs sheet, battery power, etc. And yeah, desire is excellent in ram and others, but the android version will be new with x10. Mate, don't argue please. And hd is there with x10 with update, the desire hd is not upto mark...... my experience says it's desire not over x10, x10 is over desire....

      Stylish body
      Scratch resistant display guard
      Sony ericsson special apps

Where i... moreHD recording will be available along with android 2.1x upgrade on Jan 2011 or earlier, they NEVER promised you that android upgrade will update the display to 24 bit of depth color. Pls check on www.sonyericsson.com, Xperia X10 has 65k color display, and X10 mini supports 16M color, and SE is consistent about this since the begining.

MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH Samsung I9000 Galaxy S & SE Xperia X10.
Well, I thought I'd share a few things with you guys. First of all, I got the Samsung I9000 Galaxy S a while ago, approximately a month back.

Alright, the first major reported "issue" with the phone is its battery life. Well, it's a wide subject the battery... I've charged it 3 times since I took it, last charge being 2 days ago. The first 2 times I charged I was using Wi-Fi, 3G network, downloading, installing, having the display brightness on the maximum settings, etc, using it fairly over the top. The battery lasted a little more than a day those days. If you don't use such power consuming modes and the like, the battery life can last for about 1-2 days.

The signal issue is the 2nd thing I wanted to discuss. Yeah, I've had moments where I've been on the receiving end of bad reception, but I'm not sure whether that was the phone's fault. In any case, under such circumstances, the loudspeaker's quality drops. It isn't -VERY- good in the first place, but I wouldn't use a loudspeaker for much in the first place.

The smoothness, the UI and applications. The phone has it all, it's extremely smooth, very fast, handles multitasking flawlessly. I truly have no bad thing to say there.

The design, weight. Yeah, the phone is indeed plastic when you take a look. But truth be told, you don't pay much attention. The phone is slim, feels amazing in the hand, isn't heavy NOR is it light like many people says. It's just -right-. So no remarks there either.

The display. Oh the display... You know, I've heard people say "You gotta see it to believe it". People on reviews saying "The camera simply doesn't do this phone's display any justice". I never believed that. Well, now that I'm looking at my TFT widescreen monitor... Damn, it looks dull.

My only major remark would go for the headset. The headset's jack is very... rugged. Or fickle... Something along those lines. I simply dislike it, I've got problems with it. Being a TRRS (tip-ring-ring-sleeve) jack, I have to use force to plug the sleeve all the way into its socket.

Final words - Phone's a beast. Truly something astonishing. Most of the "problems" I've heard people talk about are true.
I then sold the handset Samsung I9000 Galaxy S & I bought for myself a SE Xperia X10.
To tell you the truth I am very happy with this handset. I heard people saying that the battery life is awful, but trust me with the usage I do, I am very happy with battery life. It last me for approx for 2-3 days.
The handset is good with the reception bit as well, no issue.
Sound, the loudspeaker is not happening but it does not bother me much coz the headphone quality is very good.
The touch is amazing compared to my old handset. It’s very responsive & fast.
The design is one of the best for the smart phones, no complains. The display is very good even with Andoid 1.6. Watching videos & images is really very good experience.
I am sure with the coming update to 2.1, it will be the best phone, ahead of Samsung, Moto, I Phone & Nokia.
This was my personal views about the SE Xperia X10
                              .
I hope I've helped some guys here make a decision and that I've been helpful.
                              Thanks

                                        Greetings to all readers

As the other individuals try to put the Sony experia down I can't see why as I am a very happy user. This is only my opinion but a phone should do what you want and if it does not then you have obviously made the wrong choice. If I want to listen to music, I use my iPod, if I want to surf the net, then I plug my usb modem in and surf, if I want to type long and "wordy" sms'es I use my laptop to email my friends, If I want to take photo's for facebook or other social site I use my canon photo camera, if I want to video call a friend I take the time to go visit them. The reason phones was developed at first was to take the telephone where ever you go (I think they succeeded). All the other "things" is additional and only there to help for emergency emails and photos or whatever is not related to phone calls. So in the end if you want a phone that will make you coffee, GO LOOK FOR IT. If you want a phone with very good additional features then I’d recommend the SE experia x10i.

                                        Anton

P.S This was done on my laptop = as is does exactly what I want.
