I know this from somebody, and he is right. SE announced more smart phones than last year, or in 2008. And don't forget, that they didn't announced a flagship device. The Vivaz is NOT a high-end device, it's camera is high-end with HD. Vivaz without HD could be a failure. I also read a few months ago, that SE will probably NOT announce a Symbian 3 device. SE's president said that Android is on their first place, after it Windows Phone 7, and on the third place is Symbian.

They are very popular, this is the cause they are on the first place. Many people consider NOkia the BEST smart phone maker, and if they use Symbian OS... This is the cause Symbian is so popular. Android is a new OS, they need more time to beat Symbian, but they will, believe me. Android is the most faster growing OS as I know. :) I still like Symbian. The Windows Phone 7 is the OS I hate! I don't know why, maybe I will like it when the first devices will be out.

it says the specs are still rumour, but seeing what's been announced today by Nokia is exactly as same as was said by this site, I think they're also true the phone use that processor.

By the way that N9 with 64 Gb of internal memory is NOT announced yet.

Which could support 16M colors, install applications in your SD Card such things android 1.6 can't do it. So one of the raison android phone got more memory capability it's because android OS is very stable and that makes it better than symbian that are lite and not strong. According to featuring 16M color or install in your external memory symbian was in advance but this become available on android 2.X still android is better, stable, now getting better featurings with more than 50% free applications on android market which also growing very fast. But symbian don't need to much memory like android still Nokia start building powerfull phones with 1Ghz CPU, 512MB Ram and first with 64 GB internal memory.

If you ask me to choice between symbian and android, I will go for android OS of course.

Guys, please don't read my comment about the E7! I thought that will be better! :)) Nokia is left behind! The CPU is NOT even mentioned, because it is slow, a bit faster than the N97(in my opinion).

The Android smart phone will be better, becasue will run on the latest Android,a nd will support the Honeycomb too. :) Nokia today announced their flagship device, the E7. The E7 looks cool, but has ONLY 256 Mb of Ram. They are SLOW. SE is not so slow like them, you know the X10 has more ram then any Nokia phones. It has 1 GHZ CPU, and there is no Nokia phone with 1 GHZ CPU. I said this, because I think they are the last now. A few years ago SE was the last. In 2007 they announced 2 smart phones, the P1, and the W960. Both had that slow 208 MHZ CPU, while the N95 had 330 MHZ CPU.

For sure, Android 2.1 is not the latest Android and so what? You should visit some websites about this phones and other Android phones because they are very interesting about the people using them : most of them are normal people who want something working without bugs (it needs time to have this result) whereas some other (let's say pseudo-geek) want the last update and it is not important if then the phone worse than before the update. It seems you belong to the second category. SE doesn't develop phones for you but for the other category of people (the ones who want something easy and good but not necessary the last update).

- No official announcement about an update to Android 2.2
According to your criterion of outdated, I imagine you were the first person to install Windows Vista and thence the first one to complain that it was ill-implemented and that your hardware was not made for it? Am I wrong?
I would like to remember you that Android is a base that phone builder can modify a lot. For example, SE introduced in the Android 1.6, things only released in Android 2.x. You know perfectly these facts as you are in this forum for many months but you still ask the same questions and give the same answers to whatever we can tell you.
