i went to mobile store chain in india(delhi), one executive told me he is getting training in handling 2.2 on x10 in coming one week, and X10 will be getting 2.2 this september, in just 15 days..
not 2.1 !!!!!!!!
wowoooow..isnt that great.

SIM unavailable is a bug in Android 1.6 , had the same issue with Nexus One when it was on 1.6 but was removed once it was updates subsequently.
There is no issues with the update, go ahead and update your phone to the latest firmware.

Previously of my Xperia X10, I had a Motorola Dext/Cliq. This is to much better because it has better hardware. But the UI and the response of the screen, the functionality and the support from the supplier ( I mean the Upgrade campaing ) is good. I really like this phone and for sure that I will recomend it to all my friends

[deleted post]Just out of curiosity, when I was in one Duty Free Shop, I tried your SAMSUNG brand that you are trying to promote here on SE X10 page. My verdict? For the amount of money you are paying for the phone, it feels cheap in the hand. That is my honest opinion, no offense...
They have no Motorola phone there, so I was not able to try out the Motorola brand.
They sell the X10i there for a record price of US$730. Too expensive, I bought mine about 25% less than that...
