Q1)Will this phone work over wifi?
Ans) Yes it will.
Q2)If there's a way to select the connection preferences?
Ans) Wifi by default takes over as soon as it is available or in range.
Q3)FB contacts thing update on it's own or can I set it up to update manually
Ans) If u mean FB status,news feed..it can be set to auto check or you can urself do it manually as well. FB contacts are available too and can be added to phonebook too :)
X10 is better than Iphone 3GS, Since I have used both.

I never ever thought about getting this phone. I guess I got more interested in phones like the iPhone 3GS/iPhone 4 and the "newer" Android phones (Incredible, Droid X, Droid 2) but after seeing this monster in person I've been wanting it ever since. I was told that Android 2.1 will come to the X10 by November (SE Mexico said through Twitter I think) but my question is this:
I have a Blackberry curve on prepaid but each month I buy the unlimited (3GB) internet service, which are available for Blackberry and regular data plans, so will this phone work over wifi? I only have 3GB as a limit and I want to know if there's a way to select the connection preferences. And does the FB contacts thing update on it's own or can I set it up to update manually? If someone could reply I'd be very thankful!
I just might buy this... and to think just yesterday I was a few seconds away from purchasing the iPhone 3GS here in Mexico.

btw Custom Rom's will be available only once root access to boot loader will be done. Till then no Custom Rom's can be installed on this phone.

You cannot update to 2.1 or 2.2 at this moment, as there is no custom ROM's for X10 as of now, We've been able to get root access only for the OS and not for installing custom ROM's.
Officially 2.1 will be available by SE only by Q3 or Q4..

[deleted post]No believe it or not its one person. He most likely uses a proxy and changes ip addresses multiple times and reports it on each one. Wait and see his posts, his location marker changes a lot.
