Notice: Sony Ericsson launches a new product X11:

Timescape and Mediascape two characteristic interface makes it as one of the hottest models in the market. Recently, somebody on the Sony Ericsson Forum has released several concept images X11,and we have higher expectations to see the next generation X10 of Sony Ericsson.

According to the author’s introduction, Sony Ericsson X11has installed the latest Android 2.2 operating system. And in the front of the phone there is a camera. Although the screen is 4.0 inch, resolution of iPhone is 4 (960 × 640 pixels). The hardware uses Qualcomm Scorpion 1.3GHz processo. ROM and RAM are upgraded to 2GB and 1GB. Powerful hardware configuration can exceed all the phones on the market.

Whether Sony Ericsson will launch such a high-profile mobile phones, let us wait with much expect.

Exclusive: Sony Ericsson to introduce Android 3.0 gaming platform and PSP Go-like smartphone:

There's no question that gaming on the Android platform has heretofore been relatively underwhelming, but that looks like it's all about to change. It seems that Sony Ericsson -- a company that has yet to even introduce an Android 2.0 device -- is at work on a project to redefine gaming on Google's mobile platform. We now know (via a trusted source) that the company is actively and heavily developing a brand new gaming platform, ecosystem, and device (possibly alongside Google) which are already in the late stages of planning. And we've got the goods on it.

Here's what we can tell you about the hardware: if you're a gaming fan, this is exactly the kind of phone you've been waiting for. The device is described as cross between the Samsung Captivate and the PSP Go -- in other words, it's a landscape slider with game controls in place of the typical QWERTY keyboard. The D-pad is here, but instead of the small joystick, the device will have what was described as a "long touch pad" for analog controls, along with standard PSP buttons and shoulder buttons. The phone has a large display, described as being between 3.7 and 4.1 inches with WVGA or better resolution, a 5 megapixel camera that we're told might not be final, and it'll likely have a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU on board. The phone is mostly black with some silver highlights, and the gamepad area is white / silver in color. Apparently it's currently branded as a Xperia device, but it looks like it will carry PlayStation branding as well. Those who've seen the phone say it looks "pretty damn sexy." The mockup above probably doesn't do the actual hardware justice, but it should give you an idea of what you'll be dealing with.

On the software side, it looks like the device will be running Gingerbread (Android 3.0) with a phone-specific skin, and there will be a new area of the Android Market specifically for the games. That content will be initially accessible only by the halo device, but from the sounds of things, these titles might be made available to other Android phones if their specs and button layouts meet requirements. Games will be graphically in the range of PSX or PSP games, meaning true 3D gaming is headed to Android. Titles currently being shown off seem to be focused around some older PSX as well as new PSP offerings, with God of War, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and LittleBigPlanet possibly on tap, and future plans for titles which incorporate augmented reality features.

In terms of release, it's possible that the phone and ecosystem could be introduced as early as October of this year, but we have yet to confirm.

Right now we're working on getting even more detail about the phone and partnership, but we can tell you now that this is not a random rumor -- we have reason to believe that what we've heard and seen is real and coming to market. It makes perfect sense in a way -- Google gets a much-needed push into the gaming and entertainment space for Android, while Sony (via its partnership with Ericsson) finally delivers the PlayStation phone users have been wanting. We see it as a major win for both companies and the consumer... and we always need another distraction. Stay tuned to this space for updates as we get them, and in the meantime, start socking away the pennies.

A quick look at the Xperia X10 for those who are new with this phone, it's not my review guys coz I don't have it yet, it's what I learned from net and owners reviews, hope it becomes helpful:

--The first thing that caches our eyes is the nice and sleek design.
--And the huge shiny scratch resistant screen! TFT capacitive touch screen at 4 inches - 854×480 pixels. Shows 65k color, but it'll show 16m color after OS update because the hardware is capable of showing 16M colors and for now it’s limited by android 1.6 (Not to mention that even with 65k colors the screen looks really good)
--Then the unique and beautiful UI! The Mediascape and Timescape (performance has got better after the latest firmware update)
--An excellent 8MP camera that is FULL featured, autofocus, LED flash (but it remains photo light until OS gets updated), touch focus, image stabilization, geo-tagging, face and smile detection (it can recognize up to 5 face to save their picture between previous taken pictures from those people or under their contacts), with WVGA at 30fps video recording, and after OS update it'll be an HD recorder!
--3.5mm audio jack & micro USB port and 8GB memory card included, officially supports 16GB but 32GB memory has been successfully tested on it!
--384mb of RAM and the 1 GHz Snapdragon processor.
--Android 1.6!! but it's still great because of the SE custom UI (for example it can transfer files via Bluetooth unlike so many phones with 1.6!) and it'll get android 2.1 plus with UXP upgrade in Q4 2010 (September) maybe a bit earlier and then it'll support flash too! And the greater news is that SE has promised to update the X10 through its life time!
--And the build quality is excellent! It really feels great and comfortable in hand.

AND, of course no phone is perfect and this phone has some lacks too:

--No front camera (like some other devices with android 1.5 or 1.6) but video calling is possible by using Fring by using the main camera (it’s not cool at all IMO)
--No multi touch (SE is working for an alternative and we know that it has “1 finger zoom” feature)
--No build in radio(on the other hand it has MW600 with radio and brilliant audio quality and you can enjoy listening to music or radio, 10 meters away from your X10)
--No DivX and XviD video playback
--Battery problem (it gets better with firmware updates and by some terms of use)
--Average loudness for loudspeaker (but the audio quality is excellent)
--Earpiece seems to be a little weak

As GSMArena says, “Most of the Xperia weaknesses are hardly deal breakers and most people could live with them, don’t underestimate the amount of hard work put into the X10 during the long manufacturing process. The delay was definitely worth it”

So…it’s not the best in term of Specifications, but some people might like it :)

Had this phone for two days now and have rung my service provider to send it back.
The phone seems to be brilliantly designed *but* the volume on phone calls (surely the main function of a phone) is so low that it's impossible to hear the other party except in the quietist of environments - Looking at the SE forums, I'm not the only person experiencing this problem.
Shame, as otherwise it's a very nice phone.
