Ok for a starter Sony Ericsson is only one of the few companies which are customizing the Android and that my friend is development.
So don't get me wrong I like a company which takes the android OS customizes it and makes it look different from the rest of the product...unlike other phone manufacturer who are giving me plain simple stock android OS which is dull.

Android, 28 Jul 2010I was just like you until I got the Galaxy S from Samsung. ... moreThe thing is I know there are phones ofcourse better than X10 and there are phones better than Galaxy S too...take a simple example from layman's point of view.
who needs a camera phone with amazing features.
Solution : By a Grey Market Chinese phone which cost's less than 100 dollars ..they give you tv on your phone, speaker volume as good as a home theater leave alone a cellphone...touch screen with all the features available on iphone...with 2 batteries lol.. :)
now if i needed a featured phone wouldn't I go for one like this...but I want a phone which looks good, which has a good customer service so that if it breaks down I know I won't be stuck with a brick and it will be repaired...I want quality camera not just coz it says 8MP it will deliver the quality...I know Sony has the best of expertise in this domain..even the sound quality is amazing...about Android being stuck on 1.6 ...you know the day it gets rooted im not talking about OS level rooting but rooting of the boot loader then i can mayself install the custom rom ie any version of android irrespective if sony officially provides or not :)...that's why i love SE :)

rhadu, 27 Jul 2010does it have lock option for touchscreen? i haven't seen a ... moreScreen lock option is there but its a pattern lock and not a security code lock, security code lock can be made as default for your phone by downloading any of the various security lock apps which are available on android market.

Trust me, you'll change your mind quicker then the speed of light. I am very disappointed in SE. They just go from one mistake to another. People like you are less and less, while people like me are more and more. I wonder for how long SE will manage to suck the last drops of blood out of its once huge fan base. Now that's sad.

What? The X10 is still stuck on v1.6? No wonder it gets such poor ratings and little interest. Sorryericsson went from HERO to ZERO in less then 2 years . . . How sad ;-)

1 GB ROM and 8 GB Memory card.
it can support upto 32gig.
