What? What? long time ago, ha ha ha ha , Motorola still lives,now their androids are better than SE,Sony phones don't even exist,Motorola upgraded hardware as they promised!! never failed us,
Motos can even upgrade hardware for their customer, but SE is still not done with Software, ha ha ha , so what we can talk about hardware?
ha ha ha
don't tell me who failed back in 2001, their phone business was over, later Ericsson helped, but now both failed, now both to gather even don't have what Ericsson alone had,
I Have Xenon,MTouch,HDMI,HD video,Radio,in my android,
Hope you don't have them , because SE have failed you

What is the hold up with updates to at least 2.1 ??,,is it s/e or htc or google or the networks..It maybe all of them but come on s/e this is your top product as such and you need to get on with it,,whether its haters just having ago to the people who have bought this expensive smartfone you need to get with it seriously..People have spent a fortune on your products at least keep them up to date..

You might not need my opinion, but how can you say about other? How you say "we". Lot of people come here to seek latest update, not only you set of SE employee should be here to tell them lies to get sold this outdated phone.

Let's try to make some sense here please.
THIS IS A XPERIA X10 FORUM, TO SHARE OUR VIEWS, EXPERIENCES, AND PROBLEMS IF ANY.
NOT TO BOAST AROUND APPLE OR XYZ, this is obviously irritating. People don't read this forum to know that apple is making iphones and SE is making X10.
If you all have the sixth sense, pls let this remain as a X10 forum and let people share their views on X10 and if need be comparing it with other phones in specific features etc, AND NOT TO PULL SE'S LEGS OR CREATE PR FOR APPLE.

Last Night i buy the SE X10. The shop which I buy say can upgrade it to OS 2.1. So, suppose to get it back tomorrow with upgrade.

If u ask an american to spend 1000 dollars and buy iphone straightway he will never do it but if an indian likes the phone they will pay cash and buy it.Indian buyer is smart as they work hard to earn money. Look at people going mad over ipad-- A digital photoframe with internet. Its like buying a bycycle when u have a bike and car already at home .Apple is taking people backwards but idiots follow them.

It's a 2 year contract with 100€the phone and 25 € a month. But in a country where the medium wage is around 300€ the iphone is not succesfull. Probably like in your country people here usually resort to the black market if they want a good phone at a good price. Nokia also is the best selling brand here.

And cannot term India poor by any standards which is housing plenty of billionaires.But Indian's are smart buyers, they won't be wasting their money that easily its a known fact if u have come across you would know what I'm talking about. Apple products maybe selling like hot cakes in US but rest of the world sales figure is really poor for the company.
In India Nokia dominates cause of its pricing. They sell coz they give you value for money product.Every second person who buys a cellphone in India is aware what he is buying and what the phone is offering him compare to other similar phones and surveys multiple times before buying it.I guess Indian's have lots of money its just not known officially and they spend like anything.
I think Apple knows they cannot compete in this market cause of the fierce competition.
Vodafone suffered huge loses when it came to Indian market coz of the fierce competition and they admitted making a mistake.

Not sure about the US..do you own Xperia X10i or Xperia X10i?
you can check this is in settings->about phone
also let me know what firmware are you currently on.
If the update is not available for your region you can always debrand your phone and update with a generic firmware from someother region like i did.
I have updated my phone with UK Generic R2BA020 but thats for X10i.
