the new firmware update R2BA020 has really helped the in call volume..But do take a demo of the phone before you purchase.

I had n73,n95,n96 samsung f480 and i900 and i8000 omnia the sony c905 htc diamond and moto v8(i might have forgetten 1 or 2) . I just believe that galaxy is the best available on european market. I might have reconsidered if htc incredible or evo would have been available. The xperia will only have a chance when it will receive the firmware. Until then it does not have a chance against the other high end androids. The bada is a new platform and it's up to samsung if they will developed further, but it looks very promising.

Rogers in Canada already have it and it's selling very well. So sorry basing your opinion on operators in the US doesn't mean a thing! It is their loss, by the way why didn't these operators bring the htc evo?? Why did sprint be the one to have such owner, this just proves again that those operators are not up to date and this alone shows us why they didn't bring the X10 till now!

Yes its true but people still respect sony miles ahead than samsung. Remember the survey about customers respect and trust in a certain brand, where sony was #2 and samsung was #22. The difference is very huge my friend.
Toyoto sells much more than Bmw, but will you prefer a toyoto because it just sells more, is this your way in evaluating a certain brand? Or will you stick with the BMW because they have a great reputation, even though they sell less.
In my point of view, sony is far more respected and trusted than samsung, and this alone makes me thinks twice before owning a samsung. I mean people trust a certain brand for a reason right?

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 was
announced so long ago that most
people have became bored of
waiting and set their sites on newer,
faster Android phones. We originally
thought the X10 would land on AT&T
or T-Mobile, but neither carrier has
made any announcements on the
device.
Now that newer Android phones
have launched to market, the Xperia
X10 looks to be aging with its
outdated Android 1.6 firmware. Sony
Ericsson was trying to tell us the
version of Android didn ’t really
matter by pushing the
customizations they added to the
phone (like Mediascape and
Timescape), but we know better.
Sony Ericsson finally wised up and
said Android 2.1 would be coming to
the X10, but it would not be
available till the second half of the
year after launch.
So where do we stand now? Review
units are being passed around to
some of the blogs, but no U.S. launch
date is in site. Considering their
current lineup, we still believe AT&T
and T-Mobile would like to carry the
high-end phone in their stores.
Gizmodo was one of those lucky sites
to receive a demo unit and they
decided not to review it.

Look man you should take it easy, and why don't you talk nicely? U seem a nice guy so please change this attitude because I am talking with you politely :)
Your a good guy and your not like Ryan the money or the annoying bug motogp and that's the reason I will reply you as a gentlemen so please respect this. Anyway, the rating is a thing but it's not everything. Because if you want to see the overall rating you will find that se beats samsung big time, so will you confess that se is better?
The thing is that the X10 is a brilliant phone and se did a great job building it, most of the users are very happy and satisfied with what they have now and they know they will get better soon. You must understand something my friend, many sony users care about the looks and style + the features. So even if the galaxy s has some better features.
The X10 users will always have something special and unique in their hands, while galaxy s users, iphone, desire etc etc..
just looks the same.
So we have the best looks and we also have very good features and we also have an elegent brand names SE, so for sure we are proud :D
