Liz, I could take a picture and email it directly from my cell, back in 2003 with my Nokia 7650 :-) however, in your case the Blackberry might be the way to go.

Hi ppl,
I need your help.
I'm looking at replacing my beloved iPhone 4 and thought x10 in white might be suitable replacement.
I use emails and Internet a lot, and I mean A LOT. Would x10 be suitable for that? Can you take a photo/video and email it straight away? What is the signal strength like? Is it easy to transfer files/photos from phone to pc?
I would appreciate your honest opinions.

It is usually def... moreYes, I agree with you. Defining Bashers is difficult. It seems this forum is full of bashers. My advice is to stop the promoting by SE fans and the Bashers will go away. Seems a very simple solution to me.
I had a SE X10, but sold it, as it wasn't suitable for me. Not saying that it is a bad phone, just not the phone for me. And, yes, I was mad at SE for a while. As the X10 is a complicated phone. Now I'm back with Symbian which is a simple, tried and tested OS. (and all Symbian phones can use free Nokia maps)

proximity sensor works only when you're on call, when your ear its near your phone say a mm away then your screen gets locked so as to avoid key press. best way to check is put your palm on the phone n cover out good, make sure the right to sony Ericsson logo on the top is covered..n with your other try pressing the screen n see if its letting u do it or not
the screen sensitivity is the best n maybe the screen protector is giving u the issue also this is a capacitive screen n not resistive screen.

for volume update your phone to latest firmware check earlier posts on it.

I am loving my SE X10! It's been more than a month sine I acquired it through Rogers(Canada) and still can't get enough of it, just like my BlackBerry Bold 9700! Both phones rock!

I hv sum queries, m using dis phone for past seven days n experiencing really bad battery life; the volume even wen its set to full is REALLY low, both during calls n otherwise; also the response of the touchscreen is not dat gud, not dat its bad, its juz not upto mark; my calls drop without any reason; n the biggest prob, the proximity isnt functioning correctly, the screen turns on wen i remove from my ear but it doesnt go off wen i put it back.. Is anyone else going through dis? Also, does anyone know how to hard reset the phone?

They should have la... moreX10 has the hardware to be one of the best if not the best...had they launched x10 now..it would have not sold many since other phone companies would have the edge as well as more experience with the android...being the first android phone from SE things can only get be better from here on for SE..i believe x10 was rumored to be launched in 2009 had that been possible im sure everyone would have said .."WOW"....dropping the price would make the phone too common n the user would not feel it having something unique n special...im dead sure they must be make 50% profit on such phones as the rate of mfd is way too less than what it is being sold at.
