rebel, 04 Jun 2010that was a reason why i bought x10 and not omnia hd,faulty ... moreIf you are a Nokia hater and Samsung fan, what are you doing here.
The human eye can't see the difference between Samsung Omnia with 360 x 640 pixels and SE X10 with 480 x 854 pixels...
This is why Amoled screen is better. N8 and omnia HD have Amoled screens.
Nokia, SE and LG all have better cameras than Samsung. Don't be ridiculous and lie. Samsung has the best screens.
Who said screen size affects quality ??? NOT ME !!
Omnia HD screen clarity TOTALLY kills the SE X10 Screen quality.
Symbian is alive and evolving to ver3 and ver4. Symbian is simple, works well and uses little battery power. It is capable of any high resolution, amoled screen and 16m colours.
Nokias sales and profits are booming and it sources it parts from the best all over the world.. SE only makes its own batterys (I think) and uses many Samsung parts. Samsung is cheap as it produces all its own parts.

Mobilemaster, 04 Jun 2010Awesome news from SE!!! http://www.engadget.com/2010/06/04... moreThis is not a good idea. 5.5 inch? android 2.1? the rest it is perfect. why not 4.3 inch and froyo? we all know google are punching companies to run their devices on the latest android os. when this device will be released? in q4 gingerbread will be released and if this come out it will run 2.1 while others update maybe 2.5 to 3.0. i think sony ericsson must change the way of working. everthing to long from se. release take long, update take long, upcoming device take long. how many device htc release after nexus? how many device samsung release? how many moto release? i think android is not a good os for sony the rather make symbian phone like vivaz, satio and aino.

Mobilemaster, 04 Jun 2010I kept the X10 in my hands, and I can tell you that it is v... moreGood points, but the Symbian is completely different on those devices! S^3 is very different from S60 5th. Mainly the GPU, and acceleration. I think N8 is much stronger than Vivaz because of this, and it should be as it is much newer.

I understand why so many people are negative about symbian, but with S^3 & S^4 I think the future is not bad at all for the OS.

I hope that can support, but if the newer S3 can support, then why Nokia didn't put that resolution on the N8???

Anonymous, 04 Jun 2010Man, we android user can still compare devices which nokia ... moreYou mean gingerbread right? BY the time we have gingerbread phones, we will have S^4 phones shortly later, and really, S^4 is definitely on par. (Even though I think s^3 is already).

Also, MeeGo will be out by that time, and with all due respect to the fantastic speed with which Android develops, Maemo already beats it, let alone MeeGo.

This is why I wanted to compare 2 Symbian smart phones. I don't really think that to compare Android with Bada is a good comparison. Maybe you will see me comparing the X10 with Symbian phones, because I want others to see the differences between UI, or the Menu, applications, etc.

[deleted post]nokia is the same like the others, wake up!also nokia is loosing ground you will see in next 1 or 2 years because they are not able to hold competion and the other thing is that nokia just assambly its phones from foreign components, german lens, american processor and so on.nokia is not doing anything, look at se or samsung.they have their own components.that's means that company is strong and able to make all itself even i can confirm the fact that nokias or lg famous lens produced wors pictures then my samsungs an se with their own non famous lens and can say that i was makeing long test

Both using Symbian. But the Vivaz is more of a camera/video phone and the N8 is more of a music phone. Each phone is best for what it is designed for. Both are awesome phones.
The N8 should never be compared with the X10 as they are completly different devices.
Compare the X10 with Samsung Wave and decide which is better.
