why the droid twins? both same featurings, both extra thin, both xtreme speed, both 8gb internal, both 8mp, both with froyo, both release by verizon, both from motorola. if x10 can not make beleave, just say hello moto.

brynn, 29 May 2010I learned only a few years back that its not the fone that ... morewhatever, a chip in the battery or phone itself, but the main point is that it stops charging when it's fully charged, this was the point that I made to the guy who asked the question.
Yep, I heard as well about new type of the batteries coming quite soon, probably in 2 years, they should be like 5-6 longer lasting, that's cool :)
I understood that they were primarily created for the laptops/netbooks but of course mobile phones will get them too anyway, so now just be patient and wait until all testing stuff will be finished and hopefully very soon they will be supplied with all new mobile phones, laptops etc.

angel, 29 May 2010most of new mobile phones disconnect automatically when the... moreI learned only a few years back that its not the fone that stops the charging,,there is a chip in the lithium battery to prevent overcharging etc..Also noticed this a few times that keeping a battery at 100% is difficult cause had few se fones(non-smartfone w610 k550 etc)and they seemed to be at 98% within seconds off taking off charge..The x10 screen must take some powering as well before the 1GHZ chip starts eating the battery as well and ANDROID seems power hungry,,my now sold t-mobile pulse had a 1500mA lithium ion polymer battery but once you started using the fone lightly it did not last that long..That android 17500 samsung galaxy has proved bad to with same 1500mA battery lasting 8 hrs with not much use..We all know new battery tech is on the way but its getting it out of the labs ready for public use and sturdy enuf for everyday usage,,its all nice in the lab but its got to be reliable in the hands of the public..Whatever happened to the fuel cell??

You can use Android's Google Maps and the GPS receiver in the phone
I was thinking about a android phone but free GPS is a must have.
Or should i take the Nokia Ovi maps?

one thing that I noticed and what I don't like on Xperia X10 is that microphone is situated on the side of the phone! not at the bottom as usually.
SE made here quite a stupid decision as when you talki on X10 and hold it with your left hand (I always hold phone with left hand) you thumb covers the microphone hole! :)
so sometimes my friend on another side of the line just says hey I can't hear you!:)

chipmunk, 29 May 2010Hi, I have charged the phone battery till the green light g... moremost of new mobile phones disconnect automatically when they are fully charged, even if they are still pluged in to charge, so it's totally normal that after some time when batterry fells below 100% it starts to charge again.

The X10 can support the Android version 2.1 too, so what's the big deal?? SE will come up with a newer, better Android phone than Motorola, or Samsung. THe only big competitor to SE in Android section, is HTC.

keep talking about your x10 that have an old android os 1.6 be happy, enjoy, take some fun because in 1 or 2 months verizon will realese 2 smartphones: 1. droid xtreme 2. droid 2. all will be speedy, very thin 9mm, 16gb or 8gb with 8gb external memory, 512 rom, 512 ram 8 mega pixels, hd video recording, froyo with option to off the new moto ui. and all this in july while x10 still running a poor android 1.6 and when you get your android 2.1 in q4 or at that time you release x12 do not worry moto got 12 more android phones on the pipeline includ droid shadow and droid 2 for 2010.

I am using my X10 for more than a couple of weeks now (I bought here in Saudi Arabia) and all I can say is that a perfect phone for me. Everything suits to my need and I do really love the Timescape/Mediascape UI. Timescape gives me easy/intuitive access to all my social network in one place. the "Infinite" botton is so smart. What more X10 is even more powerful once the OS is upgraded to 2.1 to get 16M colors, HD recording plus enhancement to its unique Timescape and Mediascape UI. I've got only one issue (for now) that I want some help. If my MMS and Data is ON (you can find this under Setting/Wireless Control/Mobile Network) I can send MMS and do internet browsing using my SIM card, but I cannot send text message. This is a bit annoying because you cannot do all these things at the same time without turning OFF/ON the "MMS and Data". Any help would be appreciated.
