sorry I am not good in English,and also not moto employee, I had a business, really went out because of and defected set of SE phones. i lost millions, I recovered it with some low end phones from moto and NOK,i have a fair reason to hate SE, and boost moto. never mean to hurt anyone, so not any more bashes, if there is more, it is not me, my ip is teu..

Been using the phone for over a month, and I have to say this is the best phone I have ever had. I am a former iPhone user, and I am glad I made the switch. First I will start with the design. I have always owned SE phones before the iPhone, and can say this carries on with the amazing designs SE uses. It is curved in all the right ways and fits nicely in your hands. The battery cover is on there tight which is great thing to have. The phone has a great amount of power under the hood and it shows. The phone currently uses 1.6, but you can barely tell the difference between 1.6 and 2.1, as Sony has done an awesome job with the software. They have added the fuctions that 1.6 is missing and done an awesome job with it. Then they have the UI and it is a thing of beauty. That snapdragon processor really shows in how quick the phone is, and the UI does not slow down at all. Timescape is a very cool and useful tool for showing all the contacts and the history I have had with them. Mediascape takes Android to a whole new level. The main issue people have with Android is it's media player, and with the X10, Sony has created its own media software that stands above the rest as the best media experience on any Android phone. The Camera is an 8 MP, first Android phone in the world to have such a high camera, and the picture quality is awesome. The only problem is the camera currently does not flash, options are light on and off, but Sony has said that will be fixed in the next update. Video already looks great for a phone, and with 720p video being added next update it will only get better. The screen is accurate, scratch resistant and feels right. Sure you dont have multitouch, but I never used it on the iPhone, so I dont miss it. Call quality is better than I got on the iPhone, and the speaker volume is above average, could be a little louder, but its good the way it is now. I am in Canada, and it has the fastest data speed I have seen on a phone here, and I never drop calls. Battery life is about 2 days, but like all phones, the way to get to his point is when you first own the phone, do a few drain/full charge cycles. After 4 of those, battery life should be what I get now. And as a little side note, my friend and I compared phones, he had the milestone, I have the X10. After he got to play with it, and see the huge difference in the amazing X10, from the speed at which things get done to the amazing UI and how easy and fun it is to use, he returned his milestone and bought himself an X10. Hope this has helped :)

--The first thing that c... moreIts like you still dont have the phone, even i upgraded it to .21, the sound quality is still poor.
its been 2 weeks since i am using this, and i actually got bored. (its ok, its the same feeling on all my phones)
but there are some things that i missed.. TV-Out, a good divx player (x10 can play divx but not that good, just fine because it cant play 720p divx), front camera, and some functions i missed on my old n82.
but at least, this phone got a lot better UI. i am still waiting for the R2 update, wishing to have my battery life a little bit better.
still, this is the best phone i ever had. =)

NEAR perfection. Xenon flash and a lens-cover and it would be the perfect phone after the 2.1-2.2 update. Satio lacks 3.5mm jack. Why can't they just put it all in one Android device? SE you're back on the right path but, still need to listen to your customers......

A quick look at the Xperia X10:
--The first thing that caches our eyes, is the nice and sleek design, it's really unique!
--And the huge shiny scratch resistant screen! TFT capacitive touchscreen at 4 inches with best resolution so far (854×480). shows 65k color, but it'll show 16m color after OS update! (not to mention that even with 65k color the screen looks great)
--Then the unique and beautiful UI! fast and smooth Media/time scape
--An excellent 8MP camera that is FULL featured, autofocus, LED flash, touch focus, image stabilization, geo-tagging, face and smile detection (it can recognize up to 5 face to save their picture between previous taken pictures from those people!), with WVGA at 30fps video recording, and after OS update it'll be an HD recorder!!
--3.5mm audio jack & micro usb port & 8gb memory card included, officially supports 16GB but 32GB memory have tested on it successfully!
--384mb of RAM and the Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon 1 GHz processor!
--Android 1.6!! but it's still great because of the SE custom UI (for example it can transfer files via bluetooth unlike so many phones with 1.6!) and it'll get android 2.1 or maybe 2.2 plus with UXP upgrade in Q4 2010 (september) and then it'll support flash too!
--And the build quality is excellent! It really feels great and comfortable in hand!
AND of course no phone is perfect and this phone has some lacks too:
--No front camera (like some other devices with android 1.5 or 1.6)
--No multi touch (SE is working for an alternative and we know that it has 1 finger zoom feature)
--No build in radio(on the other hand it has MW600 with radio and brilliant audio quality and you can enjoy listening to music or radio, 10 meters away from your X10)
--Battery problem (it'll get better with firmware updates and by some terms of use)
--Average loudness for loudspeaker (but the quality is nice)
Well, it’s not the best device in term of specs in the market, but it’s one of the best phones available. i love this beauty and i have no doubt about buying it. you?! you buy whatever suits you ;)

You start with great hardware, that is top class stuff and will be for sometime. Then they designed the case for the phone, giving it sexy curves that fit the human hand, they didnt follow the rest and add a trackball(Useless when you have a touchscreen) and they did not add the famous Android chin to the phone. They then slap an amazing touch screen, 8 MP camera(highest of any Android phone) and tough scratch resistant material to the screen, hardware done. They then take the Android software available at the time, and decide to innovate once again, by adding an amazing UI layer so the customer gets the best experience from there phone, adding amazing apps like timescape and mediascape, with many more to come. Then before releasing, they know it will take time to do 2.1 Android right, they code in the missing things from 1.6 that 2.1 has, so the user still gets it all, until everything is perfect for 2.1 launch. Sony will not release things to soon like some companies(moto). You take all the amazing hardware, design and software and you get an Android and smartphone experience you can get no where else. :)

Canadianman20, 28 May 2010Well I think its funny he needed to overclock his droid jus... morei like Phoenix and when i read some of is comment i learn more about x10 even if i m not an x10 fan but if x10 was release even 1 or 2 months with android 2.1 after droid, x10 could be even better than what is it now. but you must know 2 very good decices can out after droid: nexus 1 and x10 still moto droid sell a lot devices. that a performance and i know x10 is better than droid only thing on x10 is android 1.6 that why droid can try to be compare.

Can somebody write how long it takes to start up Camera and then to take o photo? It is closer to Satio or Samsung phones?
