Confused, 27 May 2010If choosing between X10 & Vivaz which is better?X10 is the better choice as you get Android OS, and Sony has done it in a unique and amazing way. The phone is fast, works great and you get a lot of power and ease of use with the UI. I moved from the iPhone to the X10 and my friend moved from the Moto Milestone to the X10.

Guys, if anyone is thinking of buying this phone, think twice.
I've just taken delivery and here's 3 HUGE reasons to stay clear.
1) On my old P1i, I could synch with MS outlook. On the X10, no such facility exists. So you'll have to capture all your MS Outlook appointments twice. Once on the phone, and once on Outlook. Also, becuase it doesn't synch with Outlook, I now have to manually capture all my contacts...!!!
2) It can't connect to the company e-mail directly with MS Exchange Server. Got to use some Moxier thing and after spending a whole day trying to get this app to work, I've just given up.
3) Unlike the old P1i, the X10 doesn't have a built in PDF reader, or Excel or Word type program
I just pray that the dealer will take back the phone and swop it for something decent.

No, my wifi connection problem is different than yours. My x10 doesn't even find the wifi! But the funny thing is, n97 and psp go has no problems finding it.
Why can't u use the internet using a sim card?
Did you setup your mobile internet?
If you didn't do that, go to settings> wireless controls> mobile networks> access point names> add new apn> and put your network provider address which enables you to connect to mobile internet.
Note, there is an auto internet setting, but didn't work for me. I had to set it up manually.
Your other problem about the mms, yes, it is mms enabled phone.
When you go to messaging, go to new message, option, add subject, and it will say converting to mms message!

I have the same Wi-Fi issue with my X10. Our wi-fi is open in my apartment. My iPhone and my laptop has no problem connecting it. I am just wondering that despite X10 has shown full bar signal it does not connect at all. So strange that when I go to the 1st floor of our building where the Internet equipment is located, I got connected even one bar signal only. Another 2 issues I have got with my X10 is I think XPERIA X10 is not MMS enabled phone and the other issue is I cannot use my X10 for internet using a SIM card here in Saudi Arabia

I have both the n97 and the x10, and I can tell you, the loudspeaker is nowhere near loud as the n97 is.
But the music quality is good, the loudspeaker could get better with an update, the headphones are great. I got 2 included with my x10, 1 is a bluetooth stereo headset called mw600, and the other is a regular sony headset.
This is also my first android phone, honestly, I will tell you my next phone might not be android, yes its fast, it doesn't lag like the n97, but not something I feel at home with.
The next phone I'll try will be the windows7 series.

You should ignore the poor moto employee as he is just upset his droid will not be as upgradeable as the X10. I love the phone and Sony Ericsson did an awesome job, like the always do :)

Does it have diffrent themes? im thinking either should i get an iphone 3Gs or Xperia X10.I dont know what it is like the X10's icons coz what ive seen in the videos its kinda like china phone's. the sliding up & down thing (menu).
