flip, 26 May 2010aww! so your the guy who dropped the X10! how was it?still as good as new as if i never dropped it!^__^
small dent on the chrome... i only even noticed it because i was looking for damages.. otherwise you won't even know there's a dent!
after my disappointment with W902's poor build quality... i'm glad to find out (the hard way) that SE's back on track in making high quality products!

You can read the feedback of most of the owners and they are highly satisfied. Even Canadianguy that was an iphone user which means he had the ultimate web browsing experience is extremely happy with the X10 he owns now.
And by the way Andriod 2.2 is a huge difference than 2.1, it's enough to know that the latest version of andriod is 2-5 times faster than 2.1!!
Also it will allow the led flash to work as an ordinary flash light + give you the choice to store your apps on the memory card instead of the main memory.

SE 2010, 26 May 2010Man you have seen nothing! Just wait until the next upgrade... moreI moved from an iPhone to the Xperia X10, and what a difference. The iPhone is my great shame. I only owned SE phones up until that point, and then was suduced to try the forbidden fruit. I cant say I miss the iPhone. And the only real compelling thing that 2.2 brings is Flash, and I will be disabling Flash when it becomes available on the X10 as all it really does is chew through battery and display ads. I love not having to get all these ads showing up. Also my friend who had a moto milestone played with my X10, and got rid of it right away and moved over to the X10, nuff said.

[deleted post]Definatly, a phone is first a foremost a personal choice. To me the X10 is powerful and easy to use, with specs that back it up, and Sony backing it up with great quality and long life support for the phone. And I think you are miss-reading something. Sony designed the phone, picked the hardware and the software, HTC factories just built it, they have since moved on to using Foxxcon. Just like HTC and Google asked for Apple to help with the design of the touchscreen G1, HTC built it, but with knowledge they gained from Apple, same thing with Sony, HTC helped give them knowledge, and since they were set up to build them why not. Its like saying because the PS3 and 360 are built in the same factory, there is a partinership between Sony and Microsoft, when clearly there is not.

Just wait until the next upgrade with the fully changed and customized UI by SE. I just would love if SE upgraded it to andriod 2.2 instead of 2.1 it would be a real treat my friend! And believe me if you love the device now, after the upgrade not only that you will love it but also you may make love to it hehehe.
Tell me what's the reaction of iphone users or friends that own the iphone and they watch this beast from SE in your hands, I'm sure they are impressed ;)

[deleted post]9.5 out of 10. The only real complaint I have about this phone is that the video is not yet 720p HD, and the light doesnt flash, and needs to be controlled manually. Both of these things are scheduled to be fixed in the next update, so once that is done, this phone will be an easy 10 out of 10. You dont even notice multi-touch is missing as the double tap always resizes without fail. The screen is great to use, the phone is fast, the UI is amazing, and a lot of stuff missing from 1.6 has been added by Sony, like exchange support. Overall this is the best Sony Ericsson phone to date, and the best Android phone with a custom UI.

For those who don't know what is rooting. It will enable you to put custom ROMs on your device. For example stock Froyo(2.2) or HTC's eclair with Sense UI.

I know Sony said Q4 for 2.1 but I have a feeling they will shock everyone by releasing it within 2 months, and then announce a 2.2 upgrade shortly after. Sony is not gonna sit by, they may even scrap plans to do 2.1 and just go to 2.2 now that its been announced.
