And 2.1 is coming, and my bet is Sony will do it sooner than Q4, they just dont wanna lie about some deadline that they dont end up making

Second, the main feature that is on the 2.1(eclair) is 16M colors support which isn't on the X10's 1.6(Donut).

@piglet...I have my X10 for almost a month now and as far as I can tell (I went through the entire camera menu) there is only an option to turn on the Camera Light...it doesn't FLASH, just LIGHT UP! Hopefully the firmware upgrade will address this problem unless there is a downloadable app that can fix this. Pity cause the camera is good otherwize...

i got my x10 yesterday. I was taking pictures during the day and the pictures are very good! i hope this would also be the case during night. help please!!! how do you switch on the flash????

Phoenix, 25 May 2010yeah i think SE has a big plan for X10 :)This also cracks me up, if you look at the specs of the X10 Mini and X10 mini Pro, as well as the Milestone, they are almost the exact same spec wise. And those phones will be cheaper and sell better than the mototrash with motoblur

Get it out there when the difference between 1.6 and 2.1 are so minimal, Sony software coders added the 2.1 functions to 1.6. Now in a few months when they release 2.1, we will most likely get all the 2.2 features, even a proper finished version of flash, which will look great on the big screen

[deleted post]Its easy when the phone your defending is better than most phones on the market, including all mototrash thats been released to date. He talks about it having 1.6, yet moto only has 1 of their current 5 phones has 2.1, the rest have 1.5. FAIL on his part. SE has added most missing feature from 1.6 itself, and I like that fact, because in future updates, things google wont add, Sony will, and it will work great.

Love the style and other features but Nokia N8's specs is a lot better. But i hate n8's style & its not yet released

Is it possible that the Firmware Update available for UAE (United Arab Emirates) can be used for X10 bought in Saudi Arabia? I really wanted to update my X10's firmware but I am afraid this firmware update available for UAE is not compatible. Appreciate your help!!!!
