mate, my X10 has this click sound when taking pictures, as normal on all phones, so if your Xperia doesn't have this sound then it's only becuase of your branded firmware or maybe there is somes setting to put this sound on and off?
Anyway, mine is T-Mobile UK and it definitely has that click sound :)

Does anyone knw if you can lock your messages on this phone? Also can you use the standard phone keyboard with t9 instead of the qwerty keyboard? Thanks

The screen is crystal clear and the device itself is very solid. I would highly recommended this phone. Things can only get better with the SE 2.1 update.

No... morewhich one, iPhone or X10, is better for you depends only what exactly you need from your phone:)
I saw the guy below told you that Xperia has better camera - however, in macro mode iPhone camera is much better, believe me, I have both phones now and had recently problems with taking a good picture in macro mode with X10... while iPhones is a king in taking pistures in macro mode.
I think you know what is good about iPhone, and also you know what is good about X10, so simply make your mind what is that you need from a phone and then pick one, good luck :)

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is the first Android device of the manufacturer and the operating system itself has been causing quite a stir in the cell phone world in the last year. The handset comes with downright monstrous hardware features and as of today, there is simply no other cell phone based on the same platform to rival the X10 and we hardly need to say anything other than “4-inch screen, 1GHz Snapdragon processor and 8.1-megapixel camera”, although Timescape and Mediascape add a truly unique touch to the interface personalization.

Wasn't the n95 8gb a good phone when you got it new? But when its old u hate it, lol.
If you text a lot you might wanna look at a real qwerty keyboard phone.
Vivaz pro is 1 choice, but its not android.
I have a x10 and a n97, I can text a lot faster on the n97 compared to the x10, maybe because I am more use to a real qwerty keyboard compared to a touch screen.
