bhwie, 15 May 2010hi! im a se user, now im here in canada and the no.1 phone ... moreI live in Canada too, and I bought the X10 and all Blackberry users, even my manager is envious of me! As far as I know, lots of people use Blackberry because the company pays for it. I could be wrong though. Anyways X10 is a better than any current blackberry model.

bush, 15 May 2010plearify that Sony has announced before couple of days an u... moreno mate, you don't have to buy another phone, all you need to do is upgrading your own phone by using sony ericsson updateservice software, when the OSupdate or new firmware became available :)

SE is working for an alternative to multitouch and zoom feature, X10 already has a radio by using MW600 headset and considering that it's wireless, i think it so much better than a build in radio, STOP bashing and complaining about it, coz you will never can enjoy such a great phone, you will never gonna understand the pure fashion and the meaning of the great style and design!! bye "will nwver" :P

confused, 15 May 2010I was looking at getting this phone, but one thing is stopp... moreI don't know much about the Blackberry OS, but if you prefer buttons go with a blackberry, and if you prefer a touchscreen go with the Xperia X10 and its Android OS.
I also think there are thousands more apps/games available for android - mainly free - from the android market.

In addition to my earlier post on X10 tips
TIPS
1. To use your mp3 songs for Alarms, copy your mp3 files to SD card and place them in the folder ../sdcard/media/audio/Alarms
2.To use your mp3 songs for Ringtones, copy your mp3 files to SD card and place them in the folder ../sdcard/media/audio/Ringtones
3. Two useful applications to have are
(a)ASTRO : This is a file and Task Manager application and
(b)Mini Info: Useful utility for battery level, free space and so on presented in a convenient format

All the SE haters should leave this site in peace. I'm in South Africa and i bought this impressive gadget from Sony Ericsson Store in Midrand 3 days ago and i'm loving it; BTW I was using P1i for the past 2 years. Here are some first-hand comments and tips ;
COMMENTS
1. The design is superb, beats competitors hands down
2. MT is not even missed and is insignificant to me
3.Screen responsiveness is at another level. Your hands just glide on that massive screen which is brilliant whether you are in the sun or not
4. OS version differences with the latest on the market are just too technical to have any meaningful impact to most of the ordinary mobile users. That can't be a deal breaker. That said, it's still fine to have updates
5. The low volume (earpiece/speaker) is relative to the diffent users. Remember this is a mobile phone not a home theatre.
TIPS
1. To use your mp3 songs for Messages, copy your mp3 files to SD card and place them in the folder ../sdcard/media/audio/Notifications
2. To manage your contacts, calender and tasks there are various options;
(a)use an Outlook addon like Vcadrd Wizard and export your contacts to .vcard format which you can save on your SD card ../sdcard/system/PIM and thereafter import into your phonebook
(b) If you had a SE phone before, you can synchronize on the SE website with the old SE phone then sync with your impressive X10
(c) you can sync your X10 with your google or facebook account
(d) You can use Moxier Sync to synchronise your X10 with any other email account like the one at your organisation or workplace
3. Extend battery life by managing the following under the settings
(a) Wireless Controls (Switch off when not being used)
(b) Online Service Accounts (They must be set to update after longer intervaals as required)
(c) Location (Switch on only when required)

I was looking at getting this phone, but one thing is stopping me. Right now it has Android 1.6, and SE says that 2.1 will be available in a couple of months. I don't mind waiting for 2.1, but there are rumors that 2.2 is coming out very soon, and I'm afraid it's gonna take SE like a year to release it for X10. Can anyone help me make sense of what is going on/what to do?
