Hi all... x10 is a cool phone ... but let me point out the shortcomings of this phone .. i was using a SE p1i and most of the features which i took for granted on my p1i is not there in my x10.
messaging is hard as it doesnt have folders like send recived draft etc ,,,,, if there is let me know how to use it .
then media scape .... i dont understand the concept of it ... i want to put my files in different folders as i want it ... but here there only predefined options ... is there any way i can change it .
incoming call volume is low but on headset its gr8.,
videos dnt play full screen ... there is still space left when its full screen ....
so dnt know whether i will recommend it to others ... as i feel my se p1i was much better FEATURES wise.
but internet browsing is the best i have seen than any other phone .
is there any way i can lock the memory card or certain folders on my x10

Anonymous, 11 May 2010if you enjoy old OS, go Vivaz. I used it during development... morevivaz is an excellent phone in its price range
which phone is better than vivaz with 400 USD price? anyway x10 is better than vivaz surely

Anonymous, 11 May 2010Everyone seems to be talking about upgrading of X10 android... moreNo android 2.1 isnt available yet, apparently there is a new firmware that has been released but only on SEUS, i only read about it, its not officially released yet but this is just a small upgrade.
But anyways, if you want to check for updates, i am not sure exactly but either from the Settings>> About >>software update(i think this only goes for the installed softwares), and there is another way where you should download the update service application from http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/phones/topic/updateserviceapplication/xperiax10?cc=mena&lc=en

Is there any app for the radio to work normally without internet connection using the MW600???
In the specs it says NO in the radio section, does this mean there is no way for the radio to work here??

Everyone seems to be talking about upgrading of X10 android from 1.6 to 2.1 to get better display quality.
Can someone advise me how do i go about doing the upgrade?
Is the upgrade for X10 even available?

SE has life time support,really bull shit now the market is shrinking, going same as they were going when they were two companies.Support for 2 years is enough as these days phones get outdated very soon and thrown to garbage. and really will this company exist for a life time? its already dead!!! smart phones are not gaining at all.

Anonymous, 11 May 2010The Xperia X10 Is a great phone no doubt. everything in it ... morei am using xperia X10 since one month, seriously no doubt its a great phone. i evn faced the same issue as ures. wht i realised was tht i was using vivaz befor and then X10. vivaz iz resistive touch and X10 is capacitive touch..thiz iz where it gave me a little difficulty now i am fine wid it.itz got the best uploading speed and its a great phone till date

The Xperia X10 Is a great phone no doubt. everything in it is amazing the only problem that i have come across this phone is the touch calibration. it is not fully stable and hard to use.

Anonymous, 10 May 2010which one to buy between x10 ang hd 2........pls hlp its urgentan officemate bought HTC HD2... to be honest.. i have no idea why it's named "HD" 2 since my X10 plays better video quality!
PLUS HD2... quite boring... why? well when i borrowed it (it was wider than X10 and it felt thinner but heavier than X10)... when i borrowed it.. it didn't have apps at all (except preloaded ones.). i asked why he hasn't downloaded any... he says most are NOT free!
plus UI didn't feel as smooth as X10... there were times when it "pauses" for a few seconds... and most of it's winmo functions (outside HTC UI) are not thumb friendly...
so in the end.. my officemate is left with a very large phone... which has lousy camera... not really HD HD... and limited additional apps...
if you want to try HTC suggest you go for desire... or nexus one if it's available in your country...
