you are absolutely cent percent word by word right, no one in this world can hate this device.
and yeah battery problem is software issue , mine got corrected with two apps .
and with upcoming may end update it should be rectified.

SE put their best effort to catch the lo... morei think you need to know X10 better!!
-the first thing that caches our eyes, is the unbelievable and great design!
-and the huge shiny scratch resistant screen! 4 inches with best resolution so far-854*480-! with 65k color, but it'll show 16m color after update, so there is nothing to be worry about!
-then the unique and B E A utiful UI!
-an excellent 8MP camera that is FULL featured-it can recognize up to 5 face to save their picture between previous taken pictures from those people!-, with WVGA at 30fps video recording, and after update it'll be an HD recorder!!
-3.5mm audio jack-micro usb port-8gb memory card included, officially supports 16GB but 32GB memory have tested on it successfully!
-384mb of ram and the 1GHz snapdragon cpu!
-Android 1.6!! but it's still great because of the SE costum UI-for example it can transfer files via bluetooth unlike so many phones with 1.6!- and it'll get 2.1 or maybe 2.2 in septembera and then it'll support flash too, so there is nothing wrong with it too!

and of course no phone is perfect,
-no front camera,
-no multi touch(SE is working for an alternative),
-no build in radio(on the other hand it has MW600 with radio and brilliant audio quality and you can enjoy listening to music or radio, 10 meters away from your X10!),
-a little battery problem (it'll get better with firmware update)
-average loudness for loudspeaker (but the quality is excellent!)
who can hate such a great phone!!

Pureness is useless, but the one in the pic (Nadine) looks pretty cool. Any news about it?

Go to google - type "Xperia X10" and "292 percent". You will feel like you have seen the dawn for the first time. Then let us know if "292%" is called "shrinking" according to people who have "realised" things already.
Also, who says SE is for everybody? For those who like it, SE provides certain things which other company's product do not.

[deleted post]What's your problem? Stop making things up. Firstly, even in the low-end nokia, motorola and LG phones, the time and date still resets when the battery is removed (to this day). I have used two of those nokia phones when I was a kid.
And the low-end I am talking about is like really low - like Nokia 1202 or 1203 - both below $30!!! I do not even know the names of the low-end Motorola and LG ones. And if you compare even Nokia 1202 with its LG or Motorola contemporaries, the Nokia one will be waaaayyy better in performance than them (sound, build quality, speed, ware issues, etc).
I do not remember SE ever having such low-end phones and it still doesn't. (It might have had earlier when all the phones were like that).
And if you ask me about these low-end LG, Motorola phones, half the times people cannot hear what the other one is saying. The signal is always like you are in a deep grave. I am not saying that SE has been perfect. I has disappointed it users alright. But, still if you compare generally, SE has always been higher - looks-wise and feature-wise [and also price-wise :)].
Comparing SE with LG and Motorola, is like comparing a McLaren car with a Jordan one for the F1 circuit. Though Motorola would still be way better than LG. The sexiest phone by Motorola ever was the MotoRazr(s). looked brilliant. Best ones of their time.
Anyways, if you like Motorola more than anything else, it's your choice. I am sure at least some of its models would be worth looking at, and out of them, at least a couple would be worth owning.
Personally, I do not care about Motorola - no matter what they make. Sometimes, even SE makes stuff which ones would find difficult to decide whether to like or hate - for instance, the "coming soon" Xperia X5. I love it though.

look at ram:384 mb vs 256
look at cpu:1 ghz snapdragon vs overclocked arm 11 cpu
look at OS:android vs outdated symbian
look at UI:i cant compare them because of huge difference
you should know that cpu&ram are the most important aspects of a smart phone
if only camera is important to you, you should go for n8(even x10 has the best 8MP camera but cant rival 12MP camera of N8)
but if other things are important to you go for x10

overall 3gs is a good phone but not worth the money you pay for
the best thing that iphone has is multitouch and applications
now my uncle has x10 and he is very happy with his x10
because android has tons of free applications like iphone
and has better camera and video
and with 384 mb ram and snapdragon cpu x10 is like jet!
touch sensitive is like nokia
screen quality is awesome
and imagine when x10 get android 2.1 and hd video recording and 16m color screen
then it will be almost perfect
both of them are very good but x10 has better hardware in my opinion

SE put their best effort to catch the lower end market with the dumb J series, but failed,not that they stick to high end.they lost low end race, mid end is already losing to LG and Samsung. Soon the high end will find a dead end,
SE put an effort with Cybershot trade mark to catch the Camera market, failed , Walkman for music, they went as the same.Lost, Its clear that with less effort Droid hit the market better than any other Android, what ever the quality is it sells more than X10,
Motorola lost market due to poor quality they had, now they are back with high end androids,
So why is SE is not selling shrinking, people have realized it is not worth for money, just a boasted quality by its fans
