had this phone for little under a week and its like a little pc its very interactive and has a good modern look to it which i think beats iphones plain roundednes its home screen is divided into 3 , they are customizable you can drag different icons to each screen has a timescape thingy which is like that special view you get in windows vista and it shows you all your history from your emails to your last caller etc.
Very handy if you are forgetful and if you are within a hectic business.
Scratch resistant screen so all you need to worry about is just something to put it in.
If you are looking for a good contract try orange as you have the option when you have hit the half way mark with your contract you can lower / downgrade your contract.
If your a picture person and worried about the storage try amazon for a bigger trans flash or try and haggle for another one instore. (for this to work single out a timid looking sales rep and pounce ASAP! xD

Actually what i read before was that the X10 is not capable of supporting multi-touch. but so many news articles as of now are stating that multitouch will come with the 2.1 update

Sony Ericsson will continue to support the Xperia X10 Android smartphone throughout the lifespan of the handset. Despite some of the recent criticisms regarding Android 1.6, it says that a big update will land in H2 2010 (most likely a new version of Android) but it won’t stop there and will continue to develop for the phone to keep it fresh.
“By using the most recent hardware now and the possibility to update the device with software, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 will not quickly antiquate”, says Harold de Kort, Communications Manager Sony Ericsson, whilst speaking to GSMHelpDesk.
However, whilst everyone waits for the Android update, SE will be releasing other updates prior to its release. “Still before the big update in the second half of 2010, Sony Ericsson will distribute some other smaller and bigger updates that will both improve the functionality and the user experience of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10,” says Kort.

I own the phone and its great..plus..sony has officially anounced that we get Android 2.1 with "MULTITOUCH" in september. If your lucky enough to get the phone with the Sony Bluetooth dongle..its worth it..the sound from it is even better than from the 3.5" stereo jack. Plain great to me.

Affan, 21 Apr 2010Hi ppl, i want to buy this phone but am confused as to w... moreif it's for long term use, like if your keeping it for good, get the black one, my opinion about white, it's really awsome only when it's new, later on, the color have a tendency to change, might show a little old appearance unless you're vintagy style. And the black one, it's an all time all season color, never fades, never get old. and that's what I'm gettin' and will pick it up this friday. but it's all up to you, just sharin my ops

i want to buy this phone but am confused as to what color should i get it in. i really love the white color cuz i am fed up of the "everything black" and the white is not any normal white, it is an "AWESOME WHITE". but will white look decent? or shud i still get a black one?

i think that the xperia is a very nice phone as for the comment on the 25-30 hr battery life lets just say it out beats the iphone x10 on battery life (from experience!)
also there is a sat nav program it is called
wisepilot and already loaded into your home screen ... i have had this phone now for at least 5hrs and im still finding new and wonderful things :)

And s60 is the most insipid boring touch interface ever. Even the touchwhiz used on the Samsung corbys is more interesting. Forget Satio, Xperia is the one!

... moreI'm the one who made that video, it's just a bug on google maps, i tried to do everykind of gestures in google maps to see what works and what not and that is what appeared.
You can try yourself by downloading the last update.
