Confuse & Waitin, 20 Apr 2010Hi Danial, Before I bought the phone I'm considering buy H... moreThanks for the details mate, i think the 'cons' part doesn't bother me that much since i see a lot of 'pros' this phone can give me. the design is awesome, tested on the on-screen qwerty (love it), the timescape and mediascape is magnificent, and yeah, i'm comparing this with HD2 also and the i just don't really fond of what HD2 designs....anyway, gonna get mine today and i don't think i will regret it...(apart from the battery life i guess)...thanks

yes those people are right about appkiller apps will increase battery life as the apps again start within 1min or so,
but yes it do increase speed but that too is very mild as phone itself is quite fast.

Phoenix, 20 Apr 2010May i introduce you to iphone 4G?! :) http://www.geeky-g... moreiPhone 4G will still be like every other iPhone...too expensive, under-featured and ridiculously reliant on supporting software to make it work properly...still no removable battery, and it will weigh a ton...

Go with the X10, I'm hanging out for it here in Australia on Vodafone...any day now!!

Sony Ericsson will continue to support the Xperia X10 Android smartphone throughout the lifespan of the handset. Despite some of the recent criticisms regarding Android 1.6, it says that a big update will land in H2 2010 (most likely a new version of Android) but it won’t stop there and will continue to develop for the phone to keep it fresh.

“By using the most recent hardware now and the possibility to update the device with software, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 will not quickly antiquate”, says Harold de Kort, Communications Manager Sony Ericsson, whilst speaking to GSMHelpDesk.

However, whilst everyone waits for the Android update, SE will be releasing other updates prior to its release. “Still before the big update in the second half of 2010, Sony Ericsson will distribute some other smaller and bigger updates that will both improve the functionality and the user experience of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10,” says Kort.

Harold de Kort confirmed that multitouch will not be a possibility at any point due to the lack of hardware multitouch. However, he did say that SE would be looking at other gestures to make browsing more intuitive. “The operation and user experience of the phone will be further improved and Sony Ericsson will come with her own intuitive way of, for example, zooming in and out,” says Kort. Improvements to the virtual keyboard and HTML5 support in the browser are also expected.

Hey Everyone, been about 5 days with my device now & I dont know how many of you noticed ..but the GPS lock on this device is balzingly fast !!

I migrated over from a Nokia E66 & it acquires a lock in roughly 4-5 mins with A-GPS ....but on this baby i have my position under 1 min flat (or less!) ...all without even using A-GPS...now that is some wicked chip there under the Hood !

Also made an interesting discovery .. Sony has not infact modified the default Andriod player but but built an entirely new one...with a bit of tinkering you can get the default Andriod music player to play music !!!

Not that you really want to do use the default player (coz its crap) .. but just putting it out there.. :)

I never tried the IPhone, but know enough about all system types to know that Unix based software usually rules. I recommend it to all my friends and brag about it, HOPE you are jealous if you haven't got yours yet.

If this phone had Carl Zess optics or schneider kreuznach lens like my Renoir, I would get this phone right this instant. The design is so awesome. But i want a camera first kinda phone.
