But I think you will find a lot of answers regarding that problem in the XDA forum, sub-forum X10, under Q&A. One suggestion I read from there is buying an external charger for it. There might be other solutions. Try searching for answers in XDA Forum. Sub-forum X10. Use Google to find it...

I am presently using X10, but I am not enjoying the battery life.
Though I am a heavy caller but I have also used several phones but in the case of X10 I am force to charge the phone on a daily bases and before 7pm the battery would have turn to between 0 to 12% life.
I wish to buy arc S but I am worried about the battery life.
Please advise me on X10 and the status of arcS battery life.
