Hi, got my SonyEricsson Xperia X10 white some days ago and I can try to describe the pros and cons about this device. Sometimes I'm gonna compare it to iPhone since I've moved from iPhone to Xperia X10:
PROs: really nice camera for photos and videos, big screen, the phone looks real cool, even with Android 1.6 there are lots of things to be installed and customized, its processor is fast, nice web browser, good media player for audio and videos, fast wifi and 3G, can be used as tethered modem.
CONs: the touch screen is not that good as in iPhone (actually I think there is no touch screen sensitive as Apple's iPhone, doesn't support WIFI proxy, its caller id cannot work depending on how your carrier sends the caller's number (i.e.: if you set your contacts with country code, area code and the phone number the phone may not be able to identify the caller when receiving calls), phone number formats cannot be customized to the way you want to, with some 3G applications running and updating often drain the battery very fast.
My final opinion: It is a great phone with lo limits. With the update to Android 2.1 (or 2.2) I think most of the cons will be fixed. As I said before I've moved from iPhone (almost 3 years using iPhone) to X10 and I'm very satisfied.

got x10 white model yesterday, it's best phone and simple...
Fast and easy to using this phone.. I love this baby forever.

I don't have this phone, but I would like to help you,... moreI believe the X10 and Galaxy S are different phone.
I mean, yes are the same but they are created for different people.
X10 has a good camera, the best in android class. It is also very Stylish IMHO. SE really is really known for a good looking phone, just look at it personally because it is a lot better in personal.
Galaxy S has also 1ghz or processor but Samsung claims that it is 3x faster than other 1ghz phone. Plus, it got a better screen (multi touch+ amoled) but i really dont like it simple because IMO its ugly.
SO THATS IT, Galaxy S is a better Phone in terms of Specs, but X10 is a lot better in terms of Design, Quality and Camera..
Multi Touch is not that useful for me, so i GO FOR X10, but i am still not going to get it because of some bugs and lags that are reported in some reviews.
1.6 is enough for me as long as it can transfer files via bluetooth =)
By the way, SE X10 is really cheap here in the philippines, compare to the Satio when it first come out. A little cheaper that nexus one and droid.

Phoenix, thanks for the update about the latest software version. I will try doing the update afer I back up my files.
To those who asked me about the bluetooth file transfer, it's pretty fast when I transfered it from x10 to my laptop. A little bit sluggish when I transfered from my laptop to x10. One thing I noticed about the audio. It depends with the audio quality of the let's say video that you are waching on youtube. I think software update will improve the loudness & quality of the audio.

I now have the phone! It is better than I had anticipated...and it does have a proximity sensor! Timescape and Mediascape simply rock. Using apps from Android Market, customising this phone is simply limitless. The screen display is simply beautiful. To my mind, this is the best smartphone. Well done SE.

I don't have this phone, but I would like to help you, if you will accept it. :)
This is the companies first Android smartphone. So, it is a great phone with a lot of functions, but I heard it is a little bit slow even with his 1GHZ Snapdragon CPU.
The good points: 4 inch WVGA touchcreen, 384 Mb Ram, 1GHZ CPU, 8MP camera with LED flash, Timescape and Mediascape, Infinite Button, good UI.
THe bad points: No Multitouch(MT), now Xvid and Divx, it is slow(but NOT too slow!!).
By the way, please visit Mobilementalism(dot) com, to see a review of this phone.
If we compare it with eg the Nexus One, this has a bigger screen, better camera, unique features. The phone will come with 8Gb Micro SD, and the phone has 1GB of internal memory. The Nexus One has only 4GB Memory stick preloaded. The X10 can support the newest Android versions, the 2.1 Eclair, and 2.2 Froyo versions! If we compare it with the Desire(from HTC), this has a bigger screen, better camera again, but the Desire has more Ram than this, and it has less intenral memory than the X10! The Desire can handle 32Gb of Memory Stick, and if you will see that site, you will see the X10 can support 32GB too! Even if not, the phone can support 17GB, I think id more than enough.
The conclusion is: it is a good phone for a starter company(with Android). If you need a camera Android phone, this is for you, because this is the class leading Android phone! This phone is available in 2 colors, Black and Luster White. Oh and I forget that SE will make something about the MT, and maybe this will be able to support it!! :)

But if we will compare them, we can see the X10 has a better camera, the X10 has 384 Ram, about teh Samsung we don't know, at least GSMArena didn't posted it! How dare you to say the X10 has no improvements, it has the same resolution touchscreen(well NOT OLED, but TFT isn't that bad!), both have the same 1GHZ speed CPU!! And you say I am a cheater! How about you to say these things I mentioned here? You said this doesn't bring some big things, but the specs are almost the same with that Samsung. And I want to be fair too, that's the cause I mentioned the Samsung's screen, and the Samsung has Multitouch, a great feature the X10 lacks, I know it man. Please understand the X10 isn't perfect, but your Samsung too is NOT perfect, NO camera flash, only 5MP boring camera, unknown Ram.

[deleted post]I knew somebody will attack me. :)) If you remember, I said too that with 48GB of Memory the phonecould be slow. The X10 with 32Gb Micros Sd, has 33Gb in total. It is a good thing a phone to has more memory, but don't tell me 17Gb is NOT much. :)
