this is gsmarena.com and not son... more I totally agree with what you said, but remember this is also not samsungarena it's gsmarena. So it's acceptable to tell people the truth that about the X10 and it's problems. But please no need to always come here and promote the pathetic #1 ugly brand and copy cat iphone + most boring UI in history = Samsung
Samsung already have their own forums to show all there goods and bads, you always come here to talk about samsung, this is the wrong place buddy! You want to talk about X10 fine, but you don't most of the time you just speak about your brand, this is a mistake and your wasting people's time because people come here to learn about the X10 not any other brand, if they wanted to know about samsung they would have visited samsung boring forums.
I admit that your a polite and nice guy and I respect that, but what your doing is wrong man and if you claim that your a fair guy you should stop it.

let me explain something:
this is gsmarena.com and not sonyericsson.com
and this forum is not to promote for the big companies like nokia ,SE,samsung but to share information and experience about this phone the x10 ,wither a positive or a negative feed back,because that will help people who are looking to buy a phone which satisfy their needs.
but the problem some people here want us to give just the good points of the x10 ,which will lead to deceiving many people.
for example some people like mobile games with multitouch support and if we hide the truth that X10 does not support that,they will be very disappointed if they buy it.
for me i will keep posting the truth,because i am not owned by any company,and i will keep speaking politely :)

And the problem is that most of the people that complain that it does not have amoled screen or it does not support divx.xvid are samsung users.
The funny thing is that the people who are providing you with this nice technology will never support you in an acceptable way. So this is the real rip off! You give good technology but you never support it. Look at what Gsmarena mentioned about samsung's support in the samsung wave review :
( However, Samsung better learn from their mistakes and provide better support for it than they did for the Omnia HD. A pretty amazing piece of technology itself, the Omnia HD failed to generate as much developer interest as Samsung must've hoped. In the end, it was never able to live up to its full potential. They did indeed come up with new firmware but it was both late and poorly distributed)
So no thanks I don't want amoled and divx/xvid if I will not get support, which is more important than any other thing for any buyer. We still have brilliant WVGA screens which look wonderful and the divx/xvid can be supported with a small application, our device will be upgraded to 2.1 and we will have a special alternative for MT. so why make a big deal of it?
We are very happy and satisfied with Se products, and others only envy us because they wish they had half the good looks and support of SE. So if you don't like the X10 go to the forums that you prefer? Why do you keep coming here and post negative comments?
The answer is obvious, you know we have a better product ;)

It's particularly hilarious when people who use foul language get really longs posts that they spent 30 mins writing get deleted.

However, when a manufacturer is asking for nearly $800 for a handset, they should have all that in the handset. It's like a car dealer asking you to pay for a Lexus and giving you a Toyota. Sure they are decent cars (until all the recent issues anyway) but it's not a Lexus. That's the point.
And how are you so confident about the OS upgrade? Nobody doubted that they had multi-touch and look what we found out. Who's to say, they won't come out in a few weeks and state that they can't upgrade to 2.1 because the hardware does not support it? Sure,that's a bit far-fetched but after hiding the multi-touch issue, I think it's fair to say that anybody interested in this phone should be very, very cautious. Best to wait until SE actually puts out the OS update.
