There won't be multitouch for this phone , even after upgrade. Some people believe in SE, but never believe SE, beware of fake rumors, you'll get disappointed once you get this, at least this wont have pinch to Zoom, finally this would be just another phone

But the thing is that it's not fair to judge that they failed, I mean give them a break, they just released their ultimate flagship so only time will tell us if they failed or succeeded, let's not rush things around here will we?

Let's wait and see how things will go around :)
I just have the feeling I know you , I don't know why lol.

      Cheers!

Geez all this time for developing a smartphone that might be your last chance to safe your life and this is all you offer to us?

Outdated Os and hardware,no multitouch,no Fm radio, still buggy interface -- Gizmodo didn't review x10 yet because of this issue -- and overpriced release??

Okay the only thing i appreciate about se is unlike other brands that followed to copy iPhone features like multitouch, the App.store and its UI you choose to make innovations,be something different in the market, that's good if you succeed but the problem is YOU FAILED..!!!

None of any M2,fastport,or UIQ ever released by other handset,C'mon se you're a SONY not APPLE-and you'll never become APPLE

It seems i put my hope to high for se,they never changed in in the brink of their collapse.

              Dear Phenix and Mobliemaster :)

It's good to see you both again, I just want to confirm that SE mentioned that there will be an alternative for the MT, which means there will be another method to use the same thing, so maybe the MT feature looks cool indeed, and we wanted it, but I think most importantly since SE will have an alternative that will work the same way, no need at to be upset my friends.

Some people are just making a big deal out of it, I would agree with them if SE said that this is the way it is and just accept it but this is not the case as I already asserted earlier. Remember Nokia n900 also is a great success and it has an alternative for MT, but no one made a big deal out of it.

Have a good day and cheer up will ya! Specially mobilemaster with the sad face :)

                        Good morning,

I am just about to exchange my cellphone with a new one when my friend told me about this X10. I think it is such a beautiful phone, slim, looks firm, sexy, elegance and quite expensive! I just want to know if this one already available in my region, because when I asked Nokia Care Center they said Nokia is still working on with this model?

                        Pls anyone help me, thanks

Sony Ericsson confirmation multitouch problems in Xperia X10

Xperia X10 is the first Sony Ericsson product that runs on Android operating system version 1.6. We know that Sony Ericsson has committed to release a firmware update that will provide OS 2.x future Android, but according to a quote that associated with the product manager Rikard Skogberg, X10 will not get the multitouch capability even after the software upgrade. This comment was published in the official Sony Ericsson's blog, where Skogberg states "no multitouch on the X10 - and I can also confirm that it is not only related to the SW (software), but also for the HW (hardware)".

This seems to indicate that the capacitive touch screen on the X10 are not able to detect more than one point of contact. This will be very unfortunate because Google itself has enabled the original features, web browser, maps (maps) and applications in the gallery's ability "pinch to zoom". We finally took the initiative to contact the Sony Ericsson to confirm and respond to this problem.

Here is a statement from Sony Ericsson in Asia confirm this:

"Yes, this is true, our phone does not support it, either associated with software or hardware. However, as we mentioned earlier, we will work hard to provide other solutions, such as for zoom, a feature that really need it as a frequently requested. We will not compromise with it for the user experience, which focuses on our unique applications, such as Timescape and Mediascape. "

Yes, to zoom in innate feature phone may disiasati with other methods, although not perfect by using multitouch. But what about the application or game from a third party? Is Sony Ericsson going to modify all the applications on the Android Market that uses multitouch?
