I read the previous reviews AFTER buying the phone. Fortunately. Because I would not have bought it if I had read them before and would have missed out on such a great phone.

I used HTC diamond touch 2 previously. it was a complicated phone. I have had good experiences with sony ericsson phones. Xperia x10 mini pro is no exception. it is user friendly, easy to type, fast and cute looking. i have not tested the battery life yet, but it is not a big problem as the phone can be charged connected via USB to a laptop. the best part of the phone is that you can customize the shortcuts on the main screen so that it is convenient for you to access applications you use frequently.

this phone is great for people who does not like complicated smartphones, who does not stare at the phone 24 hours, who mainly use the phone to call, msg, take occasional pictures and all other basic uses.

not sure if the slider will last.

    amazing phone!! great buy! dont bother with all those other comments theyr rubbish! only problem is that the bluetooth is a little complicated, but thats only becuse its android, and about the battery life, well thats only bad because again, its android, the os drains the battery, its a problem with all android phones.
    its got a great processor and performs just as well as competitors that cost a lot more.
    look no further if u can live with the small screen.
    oh and p.s chick go crazy over this phone, they think its super cute!

          Have really loved all my previous SE phones, so impulse purchased this one. Spent a week trying to break it in and gave up when it kept on giving me internet when i tried to open mail function.
          Chronic difficulties:
          ..No scroll bar or buttons to control net.
          ..Touch screen way too sensitive to scroll without it stopping where you don't want it to.
          ..Mail box dumps everything in together, Inbox, Outbox, Drafts, Sent etc.
          ..If you sms someone, close mail, next time you open mail to draft new msg (not a reply), it automatically wants to send to previous contact, and very difficult to change recipient.
          ..Impossible to delete draft or sent MMS.
          ..Until you learn how to load Widget to main screen, the internet stays connected full time. (Can be expensive on data usage).

              Can I restore my contacts backed up in the memory stick to the phone? Since I cannot send them from other device by bluetooth.

                  Had this phone for a day and couldnt wait to get rid of it. Hard to use the keyboard and screen is tiny! But the worst part is the terrible resolution. Really pixallated. Like an old nokia or something. Dont walk away from this phone, run away. If you are on this site reading these reviews you obviously have had some experience with high end phones, this is not one of them.

                      Complicated to understand compare to other phone. Add Contact No,sending Message, Delete Message and operate other function is very complicated. I insert the prepaid Vodafone card and activate internet. But , I can not open Google Account, Youtube,facebook , Synchronise with sony ericsson. Please provide necessary guide line for new customer regarding the software.

                          All the ones who don't have android market; I just read somewhere that its not available on sets for the mid-east due to no govt clearance for it, so we have to wait till things are sorted out :(
                          Also about the battery,my set gives me 2.5 to 3 days, when the use is average (less net-wifi-BT, more phone, Muzik, sms);which is not tht bad. For those complaining: Guys come on; even laptops/netbooks won't last more than a couple of hours with heavy usage.. Its a compact android phone, give it some credit for all that it does do...
                          The 6 hours standby time complained by someone, dude, ur set has a real issue, must go back to the dealer.

                            I finally bought the phone last week and i have to say that i liked it. The phone has a very responsive touchscreen and loud speaker although its only mono. The screen is very good in daylight. If you text, email, or make notes the qwerty keyboard is a must. Its a small phone which means its very pocketable and great one hand operation on the touchscreen (situations do happen that you only have one free hand). Its an ANDROID PHONE which means lots of apps to add features that resolve missing features of the phone. So far i have manage to have 17 screen pages of apps. I have apps installed for bluetooth file transfer, camera zoom, creating music playlist, viewing documents, editing music and photos, voice recorder, a compass, and even for making notes, messages and photos private. My battery last about 2 days which is ok for me. Phone also charges while in usb data connection on my laptop.
                            The phone is great for me because i like music, texting and taking casual photos but playing games and browsing the internet were never on the top of my list as phone activities, I have my laptop for that.

                                Speakers are clear and loud
                                The battery is pathetic, gotta carry the charger with the phone.

                                      This phone just looks awesome.
                                      Bought it 4 days back.
                                      Battery does not last for more than 6 hours.
                                      It drains out over night even if not used. Something is really wrong with this phone. Have used more than 50 phones and this the worst battery i have had.

                                      The features are almost the same that every other phone these days have.

                                      The camera is good

                                      The keypad is really tough to use, especially the top row of keys which is difficult to press with the slider butting over it.

                                      If you just want a good looking gadget which you are not gonna use, go for it.
                                      Males stay clear from this phone.
                                      Definitely not for the office guys.
                                      Browsing is a pain with the small screen.

                                      All the other good ratings about this phone is completely nonsense.
